I have decided that £500 is far too much, we are on a VERY tight budget this month and so am changing my budget to £250
(my personal challenge is not to take any money out of my bank accounts this month, so my grocery budget is what I can make from selling things and my 2nd and 3rd jobs! Will be tough as a family of 2 adults, 3 kids and 2 cats but I'm so up for it!)
    NSDs 7/20
    Make £10 a day £403.74/£310

As you said, it will be tough, but it's amazing what one can do when pushed... Keep focussed, and make a list of your cheapest meals, and that's what you eat this month! You can do it!
Grocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100
Frugal 2018 needed! Saving and NOT spending

Thank you! We have a fair bit of decluttering to do so it is a push to get it sorted and sold as well as a push to stop wasting so much money in supermarkets. We were easily spending £180 a week, and on stuff we didn't need or would throw out.

I would like to do spreadsheets for my GC budgets but have no experience of Excel. Is there anywhere I can go for a quick and easy guide? If I get competent maybe I can start doing all my budgets on there?

i have learned a lot from this

Did my usual round yesterday with £51.92 at A$da then £34.21 at A!di. In my defence £28 of the A$da shop was cat food and £6.50 of the other was cat litter and treats, Damn those fluffy rats are expensive. The worst part of the A!di shop was that I bought DH a load of biscuits and crisps etc.

I have a meal plan worked out for this coming week using all the stuff in my cupboards and freezer so I didn't really need much except bread and cheese, both of which I had coupons for. I did get some pork medallions and Turkey mince at A$da but they were both YS.

So I'm 25p over budget already and I have 11 days until pay day plus I haven't had the milk bill which is usually £35. On the plus side I'll be away for the last week of my month so the company will be paying for my food, but DH will need to be stocked with Pizzas etc since he won't cook when I'm away. (Note: I said won't cook not can't cook!!)

I just nipped to the co-op and ended up with coleslaw and lots of tiger buns and bread. A spend of 90p :o

And freezers can not take anymore.

    JJ A BIG THANKYOU.

I have just made your herby cheese bread, I thought it would taste like scones but it didnt, It was much lighter (well lighter than the cheese scones I usually make)

It was that nice my OH is having two for his pack up, filled with ham.
