    Hoover stairs

Here goes for today then, I have a feeling it's gonna be a tough one!

Update: Today hasn't been as difficult as I thought, DD is being really good and currently having a nap. Just HHI and hoovering the stairs left. I hate hoovering the stairs - bane of my life. I haven't got much ironing but am feeling kinda lazy. Think I'm gonna really push myself and get the ironing done now. Feel a bit grumpy cos I desperately needed to do a dark load of washing, so put it out thinking a few showers won't hurt and it's raining bucketloads :( Hate no longer having a TD![/QUOTE]

Only thing left to do now is the stairs. I got the washing in and I swear I have the worst timing, I always seem to put it out just before it starts to rain, or get it in (in this case) when the rain stops 10 mins after. GRRR.

Had a late lunch and chatted to my cousin in Germany on fb. :D

Time to get moving again, now. I've done a bit in the kitchen, but spent the rest of the time on the Dining RoD. It's sloooow progress. :( Took another door off and dumped it in the back yard (same issue - it was ugly, hardly used and collected dust). Told DH that we'll get two new doors eventually. ;)

DS1 was supposed to help, but ended up meeting his gf instead. He'd better make an effort later, since I'm spending my holiday decluttering. DS2 has a streetdance later, so I've only got an hour now.

    Back later. x

Everything done today, felt funny when I was doing the ironing so had something to eat and thought I'd tackle the stairs after but was struck down with a migraine with aura. My vision still feels a bit hazy :( Anyone else suffer with these? I have them about once every month or so, normally around AF but that's not the cause this time. I hate them!!

Thanks for this weeks list :T, I must admit I didn't check before today as I was convinced the long weekend meant no housework ;). I did a good declutter on Sun, and got spare room ready for MIL's visit today ; OH did push the hoover round so I suppose a bit of maintenance.

Had to go for blood tests today which took ages, and trying to recover after a busy weekend socialising, so just a little done today. DD in tow, we changed both beds, put a load on, and I got her to dust her doll's house which took her an hour and she LOVED :D.

Hope all you fellow flyers are well.

Yes, I am a migraineur - my aura is the worst bit. In a bad spell I can get up to 15 a month :(:(:(. Completely empathise, they are horrible.

Have you tried anything for them? I find 3 adult dose aspirin at once can work, but not always. You can also try triptans - you can buy a couple over the counter for about £9, or get your dr to prescribe - you get about 6 per prescription.

Good you've noticed a link - can't find a major one for mine at all. Have given up caffeine, chocolate, cheese, red wine and citrus fruits, not that its made much difference. Only things I've noticed as triggers are my blood sugar dropping - I try and eat little and often, always have a snack on me; getting thirsty - I always carry water on me; and release from stress - that's a bit harder! Currently trying some relaxation cds daily and making sure I put my feet up for a bit every day (helps I'm on mat leave :rotfl:).

Hope you feel better soon, and find a way of managing them. PM me if you want more of my migraine advice.

Thanks museumworker. I had a double bout of auras with this one and taken aspirin, which has just left me with a dull ache. I totally agree, the aura is the worst part. I think it may because I've been under some stress, and I've started exercising and cutting down on the amount I'm eating (I was snacking all day long for a while - I'm a comfort eater!). I think maybe I'm not snacking enough now!

You mentioned you're on maternity leave, I remember that my aura migraines started when I was pregnant and I've had them regularly ever since. Anyway I appreciate your advice and well wishes, I'm feeling much better now :) Best wishes with your pregnancy :D

Did another hour or so before DS2's streetdance class, clearing and dusting the dresser top, washing and replacing ornaments. Have also folded some laundry, scrubbed the loo and cleaned the sink (although both could do with a bit more attention as I was rushing).

Tea next and then a quick trip to Mr M's for stuff I'd forgotten. :(
