I am having problems with my new mobile - a Samsung Galaxy Note - getting it to connect to my PC using KIES
Has anyone tried this - with a Galaxy ?
Is the Galaxy compatible ?
I don't even "see" the phone ...

Plus the "connection troubleshooter" tells me to disconnect before running the troubleshooter - it makes no sense !!

Any advice welcome.

Have you loaded Kies and checked for updates?
The Note manual says it works with Kies.

Typing this from a note that I use with kies air without any trouble.do you have wifi? As long as the PC and the nite are on the same wifi, open less air on the note and follow the instructions to type a coffee into the Web browser and Bobs your uncle, as they say!

Don't use a wired connection that's much harder!

    Love my note!

Yes - I have installed Kies - and when (connected via USB) - It hangs, telling me "CONNECTING........."
But that is it - it fails to connect
The "connection troubleshooter" - doesn't help at all - telling me to disconnect, press START and this then hangs

When plugged in - I get two more drives appearing in "My Computer" size 0Mb - and when selected - I get "Please insert disk in to removeable drive "

Rubbish software but it works for me, try launching Kies before connecting the phone.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Could be worth downloading earlier version of so called Samsung Kies.

Issue with Samsung Tocco Lite - old phone, it connects with Samsung New PC Suite v1.5 but not with version 2.0 which is called Kies.

The Note ought to work as its a newer phone. Try plugging in phone after opening samsung kies - if that fails, try shutting down kies, connect phone and then start up kies.

If all fails - I would try and revert to the CD (which came with phone) version of the software and not latest version from Samsung.

I had ongoing problems with Kies when using USB, but no problems using WiFi - and I wasn't a firewall issue either. Try this as an alternative and avoid Kies completely.

    Kies .
download and install reboot computer .
Connect phone in USB mode and let it find the USB drivers and windows install them .

Separate usb driver is in Program Folder Samsung /Kies might be worth just running that .
