Ryanair winter flights from Birmingham should be out soon, but going by the Manchester flights , theres not much in it from what Monarch are offering.

'Onboard food' with BA is a bit misleading, last time I went with them to Venice I was given a 20g bag of salted crisps and a tiny can of lemonade. Good job I ate before I left as I would have been starving otherwise. At least with Easyjet/Ryanair/Monarch, you can get something more substantial (and hot!) like a pannini/soup/pizza slice on board whereas with BA you get what you're given and that's all.
