  • Hi there,

A friend has given me a £6 off £40 spend voucher. Will his clubcard have to be scanned for it to work, or can I use it?

    Cheers

    Hi,

I have recently gone back to using Tescos after a long while and finally have my clubcard statement and there were no 50 bonus points if you buy rolls or 10 bonus points for buying peas.

Have Tesco stopped doing these now?

    Thank you

Well I'm due a mailing of offers like these- but the statement before this (arrived around August-ish I think?) had mainly offers like these (i.e bonus clubcard points rather than money off coupons). Over the years they've gone from offering money off to clubcard points back, perhaps for obvious reasons and unless they attempt loyal-customer-suicide and cull the Clubcard I can't see them stopping this any time soon, though they may well cut back on the amount of vouchers and number of points given.

But if your talking about till-splits, that's a different story. I rarely used to get these but my mother who sometimes, maybe once a month uses Tesco when she can't get to Waitrose used to get loads as a returning customer and would just offer them to me. Neither of us have had any of these besides the £5 off £40 my mother was given last week and was a well spoken about offer.

    Thanks Jenniewb.

I have gotten quite into my online shopping now and was saving my CC vouchers for Avios points so was really hoping for some bonus points but nothing except for the actual savings ( £2.50 and £5 vouchers) that I can use for doubling up or converting.

Hopefully there will be more next time!

I once gave a voucher to the lady in front of me in the queue as I wasn't spending enough, she used it with her clubcard no problem.

According to the T&C's they are not transferable. Which is not quite the same as combining them with friends to use on say a Monarch flight

My husband received some £4 off a £40 shop vouchers for the next 6 weeks today. I never get any though.

I wasn't sent these for some reason but they do show on my account online. Also they automatically show up at checkout which is MUCH more useful than being sent them in the post or getting them from my account. They are greyed out until your spend goes over £40 and then all you have to do is select it. Very handy.
