Pumps have got a lot of catching up to do! Lovely!
Currently brent is at $99 a barrel. If it holds, petrol should be around 10-15p a litre cheaper.

Graham_Devon wrote:They should raise BoE interest rates to sort out the rising costs of Oil. Oh, hang on, erm.. Tsk. That pesky oil is up and down like a yoyo! Well we can't raise and lower BoE interest rates at this rapid frequency, it'd be ridiculous!
Hmnn. if only there was some other way to control the costs of a single imported commodity other than using the sledgehammer approach of rasing and lower BoE rates?
Yes, Graham. If only there was an alternative. :rotfl:0 -

Add on the fixed costs like tax, cost of refining. transporting and selling the petrol at he retail outlet and you'll be closer to understanding a little bit about petrol prices.0 -

It's a shame because I'm sure you're a bright lad but trying to stick up for your forum buddies is very lame...
Be a man and have a go at discussing my point about oil prices. Just try it you might learn something.0 -
I thought hypocrites were, by definition inconsistent.
Anyway, as you quoted me, this board was a much happier place for your absence.
I take it you don't want to discuss oil prices vs petrol pump prices or is it you don't understand how it works... I'll educate you.0 -

We can but dream, it will Georgie boy even more excuses to increase duty.
Interesting that the differential beteween diesel/petrol seems to be widening once more. Would have thought that with teh old USA "driving" season and them not being fond of the dirty stuff it might equalise a little."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....
