I too have had a lovely day with DD and my mum (and DH)
DD gave me a lovely card, chocs and a little teddy which says 'Best mum'.
My mum came over for lunch at our house as I couldn't get a table at her favourite restaurant. When I took her home, she said "Thank-you, that was a lovely meal and I felt much more relaxed than I would have done at the Wheatsheaf with everyone bustling about". I felt really appreciated

The best thing about today was my obnoxious rude 7-year old niece being dragged out to the car and driven home after I'd gone to bed with a migraine. Never again - she's banned from this house; I'll see my mother on my own from now on, without my sister and her spawn. At least I can hope - I've not seen my mother alone for 8 years since it was born. My husband absolutely adores kids but even he was appalled - an out-of-control spoiled beast, its chemically depressed mother who hasn't a clue how to enforce sensible and consistent discipline, and a frail grandmother who is treated like **** by the horrible kid. I won't tolerate it around me.I am not stubborn. I am merely correct.0
