It a Gel Nails TSV (like Shellac / Gelish / Axxium etc)

I imagine it will be pretty expensive and pointless for me as i like to change my polish daily.

Oh good, this is something I wouldn't use either. i tend to change my polish every 2-3 days. Repainted my finger nails last night and am wearing a colour that I haven't used for years - OPI Suzy Loves Sdyney. I think it's even discontinued now - was from the 2008 Australia Collection.

Willowbee - such sad news. sending you ((((100 hugs)))). Think of all the lovely times you had and smile.

On the subject of you 'must move' ---- NO - you MUST run out of a building if it's on fire! Who cares if we are in our pj's all day? Sometimes that is just what we need. Tomorrow is another day, and you may well get up and be full of the joys of 'summer'!! Which would be lovely. #

Well its 2nd of the month ad so far I have achieved my plan of body moisturiser every day:D Even did a body exfoliation this morning too!

My thoughts to you too Willowbee and I echo what scrappie says about staying in pjs. Sometimes it's just great to go at a slower pace. If I didn't have to get out of my pjs today I wouldn't but Emma is grading for her brown belt and after that we'll be going to the cinema to see Prometheus and Nando's for tea.

    Hi ladies,

No intention of tempting others into toiletries naughtiness, but I need some new toner and I seem to remember some of you mentioning a Liz Earle £9.50 special offer...I've tried to find the offer on the LE wesbite, but I can't. Any linkies, please?! x

Hi Pickle the £9.50 offer was for Cleanse and Polish and I think this offer has gone now in any event.

    Hi all,
I'm going to have a stab at doing a list/stocktake as my hand cream buying is a little out of control.

May I ask what is defined as unecessary buying? Is it buying more than one of the same things, and/or the overall size of the toiletries audit list?

    Thanks

Good afternoon ladies i am in again this month.

    i have a uu

SBC Collagen Face Mask i have 8 more to use its ok but i think i might buy a litre of gel when these are finished and put a thick layer over my face when i have a bath.

i dont need anything this month so if i buy something please shout at me really loud as i am trying to get rid of things as i am going to be doing my bedroom out next month, putting wood flooring down and buying a king size bed so need to save my pennies.

I did it again this morning - body moisturiser now spluttering!! I am determined that moisturising will become second natrure to me by the end of this month.

Lilly - I use the SBC collagen gel, will often put a think layer on while I'm doing the housework or watching TV for the evening. I can really tell when I don't use it.

For me, it's buying thing that I already own in my stash. My achilles heel is shower gels/body lotions and nail lacquers. I don't count nail lacquers though because it's the one beauty product that I absolutely love and it wouldn't feel right if I didn't buy at least one from any new collection. So for me if I were to buy more shower gels/body lotions at the mo this would be unnecessary. Also I'm trying to get to a point where I am only ever replacing the last of something or have one in and on in reserve (eg if there is a BOGOF offer as with the shampoo I bought yesterday).

It is really worth it scrappie. I now know when I have not applied any body lotion/butter. Do you exfoliate as well? It's worth it because then your body lotions will last even longer as you won't have to apply as much.

I didn't get on with the SBC collagen gel as I never noticed any difference but then I was already moisturising regularly by the time I tried it.

Have just bobbed on to book our cinema tickets for Prometheus and will be going to see it shortly. Emma passed her grading with an 89% pass mark. Am so proud of her. x

I had a uu this morning, S&G Glad Hair Day Shampoo wnba as it was too strong a smell for me but ok as a shampoo. Will stick to my head & shoulders hg one instead.

I also have an in to report, porefessional free with glamour. I also wanted the face primer but haven't been able to find it in the shops.

I was shopping yesterday and although I saw several lovely things including some yummy philosophy sets I managed not to buy any toiletries so very happy with myself :j

I think everyone has a different definition of unnecessary buying, but I can tell you what I think it is and why I joined this challenge. What ends up happening is you get into this mode of constantly buying products when you already have plenty of that kind of product. Let's say for example, hand creams. Well, if you have 10 hand creams, the likely-hood that you will use it all before it goes is little, so you end up wasting it because you have to toss it out. For me, I was really hoarding bath products, skincare and hair products. I decided that it is better for me to use what I have then to go and buy more, especially since a year or so ago, I had to throw a load away because they went bad. I also joined this challenge to curb my spending. I still buy but I'm not in that vicious consumer cycle anymore. Sorry for the lengthy explanation, but I hope this clarifies things a little bit.
