No Buying Unnecessary toiletries in June

Hello all

I've had a bumpy few days. All very confusing. Serious muddle with my OH (one extreme to the other but I can't really write about it) and my 103 (!) year old Grandmother is in hospital.

Then...

Very sadly my cat had to be put down yesterday. She was a much loved family member for 12 years She had been unwell, been to the vet, thought to be recovering and then she had the most terrible day on Thursday where she was panicky and having trouble breathing and all we could do was sit with her until we could get her to our vet first thing the next morning. He thinks that she had meningitis and if that is the case then there was nothing we (or he) could do that wouldn't distress her further. (She had her leg crushed by a badger bite when she was young, then three years ago she disappeared for ten days then reappeared with the same back leg disconnected. We think she must have been hit by a car. We were so pleased that she made it home as we had been searching high and low for her. She had the leg amputated and it turned out to be a blessing - she was still able to whizz around on our roof and climb trees! So, I think we have to think that she had used up all of her nine lives and we were extremely lucky that she survived for 12 years, but it's still terribly sad. )

LadyM - I'm so pleased to hear that you are doing better. You're in my thoughts as I know how tricky it is to live with M.E. at the best of times ("tricky" being a polite understatement :rotfl:)

If I can sort myself out (and muster the energy) I want to list some things on eBay this weekend. Rosemary - I think the limit depends on your feedback? They limit newbies. Does your OH have an active account you could use? You don't need to have sold anything, just have feedback as a buyer. (I had a 100 item limit when I first sold things thanks to my buying feedback).

Oh Willowbee, sorry to hear you are having a tough time. Your poor cat too, I know how you feel:grouphug:. Chin up hon.

My DH got up this morning with the intention it would seem of being a complete pain in the bum, and he was very successful, he has been fed fit to burst now and is watching the football and seems to have snapped out of it.

Good start to the month - 2 UU. A nail polish remover and a simple toner. I'm looking forward to my nail polish remover being totally used up so i can try the new type with the sponge thats supposed to remove it in seconds!

Thank you Sunshineyday for starting the new thread and welcome and good luck to any newbies - you're in the right place, although we can be a bit naughty tempting each other with bargains and good offers at times, you can also rely on support not to splurge when you need it.

Expecting June to be a tough month challenge-wise as its my birthday so I'm pretty sure they'll be some extra IN due to this so my personal challenge for the month will be to have more UU than IN, something I've achieved fairly easily so far since the beginning of the year when I started the challenge but this will definately be the acid test! I might give myself a fighting chance by targeting the few products I have in sample sizes for some easy UU. That said I've a few splutterers that seem to be running on empty so should get off to a fairly good start for the month.

Updated stash list below, currently in use in pink, INs in RED (since beginning of challenge in Jan, unless they are already marked as being in use). I've deleted any UU/TA/GA as the list was getting too long in total! My aim now where possible is to use up products that have been in the stash since the beginning i.e. those in black. One true IN for June so far has been Pantene shampoo sachet out of Glamour and I've also counted a Sure Aloe Vera deo which I think Mum sent me in May but I've not remembered to count until now.

I think I also had a couple of TA/GA missing from May - TA was Tesco Spa Cube bath fizzer which I'd started to use but was massive and fairly unappealing so in the bin it eventually went! I also gave Beyond Bronze by Fake Bake self tan mousse to my Mum - was a lovely colour when you initially put it on but unfortunately most of it went down the plughole when you showered it off the next day! :eek: Tried layering it but didn't make much odds sadly.

True June UU are Primark 4 in 1 facial cleansing wipes twinpack - total bargain at £1 for the twinpack but found these a bit stingy around my eyes initially and pack says 'lightly perfumed' but they are very strongly scented - was worried I was going to develop a worse reaction and not be able to use them but didn't turn out too bad and was able to get through them eventually. Have since bought the unperfumed version in the white packaging (rather than pink) and these are much better for me. Otherwise very effective and great value. Other UU in the shower this morning was L'Oreal Excell 10 Cashmere Balm conditioner - will always have more as comes with my hair dye.

Rosemary if you are a new seller you are limited to the number of items you can sell.
I gave an In - Glamour mascara - I have came to the conclusion that subscribers are sent the mascara as I got that twice last year when there was the Glamour Benefit freebie. Still to use them so may try and sell them.
