No Buying Unnecessary toiletries in June

Waah, just lost my post .. So sorry about your wee cat, Willowbee. Will you be considering another, perhaps from a rescue place? I love the way that Paul O'Grady in his radio show encourages those who have lost pets to consider rescue animals first, and particularly older animals. One of our two snakes was a rescue of sorts - the former owner was emigrating and the planned new home had fallen through. He was faced with having to put a healthy snake to sleep if no home could be found.
Things quiet on toiletries front. I cut open my Garnier body lotion - it is the new shape bottle that is a bit of a pig to use, so hard to squeeze lotion out, so much left inside!
The new free eye cream seems lovely, and I got sent a very nice make up purse with my subscription of Easy Living.
I'll pass it on as I don't take make up out of the house in quantities. It's an attractive metallic brownish-plum colour, almost coppery in appearance, I wish I could find a lipstick in that colour! Have yet to use my new hair styler, will probably do so tomorrow as I need to review it for Amazon.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
I'm a bit worried about such things too, I decanted some rubbing alcohol into a small spray bottle (from lush toner) and give all my powders, pencils and lipsticks a spray from time to time. It evaporates without damaging them. I also use it as a make-up brush cleaner.
This sounds like a really good idea (and not just because it will give me an excuse to buy more Lush toner :rotfl:)Sealed Pot Challenge Number 1225

No Buying Toiletries 20130 -
Morning ladies. Got through Day 3 with no purchases. No UUs either though. I do have three products that are spluttering - cut open tubes to Elemis foot cream and Flexitol heel balm last night. Also can see the bottom of my tub of Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter body butter too.
Bad day for diet yesterday though. Went to cinema and saw Prometheus. Ate tons of popcorn, bag of wine gums and had a Nandos afterwards. Still feel stuffed this am. Back to it today though.
Only plan for today is to go to local Sainsburys to buy some clothes for our hols whilst the 25% off deal is on.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

morning all ,hope you had a good jubilee sunday:)what ashame about the English summer!!!We lit the fire last night and after a toast to the Queen snuggled by the fire to watch apprentice(DH cannot understand why I think Tom is gorgeous!!!)
Also went to a tea dance with lovely cream scones(ooops diet)and then songs of praise at church so busy but nice day, hope to get into garden whilst (supposedly) nice today.
still no ebay bids(thanks for pms)but am hopeful as my benefit set of 3 should do well as the eye cream alone just sold for over £11.
We are in the spare room as decorating ours,DH wanted chocolate coloured walls and I persuaded him they would be too dark and we settled on a sage green, now it is on it looks very similar to the cream woodwork so hope it will not be too bland:(our spare room is so quiet as it is at the back of the house and the bed is softer than ours, feels like we are in a hotel!!!
anyone doing the fairy savvye thing?I only got 1 booklet with coupons when it said should be ten:(
enjoy the rest of the holiday ladies:)0 -
Morning!!
My plan to stay in my pajamas this entire jubilee weekend is successfulSucks to go back to work tomorrow, but I still have all day to relax
I don't know why I have such a difficult time remembering to apply body lotion, it's quite bizarre as I love to exfoliate and take baths, so it's not because I don't pamper myself. Well, I finished a spluttering body lotion (TBS body butter in lemon). I was given this last month by a co worker, but I don't think I would actually buy this. The Lemon body butter made me feel and smell like a lemon tart lol. I just don't like food smells when it comes to skincare/body care. It was moisturising however, so I guess that's why these body butters are so popular. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge

I'm with your DH there Rosemary - I think if Tom took his shirt off you would see the 'on/off' switch. Just as well we don't all like the same anyway...Great final though - I love the interview stage.
June rolls on and I have another 2 UUs (and still no INs) - I can't believe this start to the month, I am sure it will fizzzle out part way through and the UUs will slow down:
Liz Earle Cleanse and polish - WBA definately - a HG product this one. Still have some left in my stash though so no need to rush out just yet and re-purchase.
L'Occitane almond delicious paste - WNBA - have plenty of body scrubs left in my stash and this wasn't particularly special. tokkiandoliver - body scrubs are my equivalent to your body lotion. I use body lotion every day but try to remember a body scrub - impossible. Anyway, decided that this little pot had been sitting on the side of the shower for too long so have UU. Am going to try a Soap & Glory one now - huge tub so predict a LHJ to be reported in 2017 I think!0 -

Is is Soap & Glory Sugar Crush you're using next. That is my HG scrub. Love the zesty smell.
I've also got a Soap & Glory Scrub of your Life on the go (when I'm using floral fragranced shower gel/body lotion) and can't understand why it has a different name to Flakeaway when to me it seems exactly the same except SOYL is in a tube and Flakeaway in a tub.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I have got Flakeaway to use now and then breakfast scrub to use after that - haven't got sugar crush in the stash - shock horror! Will let you know what I think.0 -
This is what happens when I'm home and have absolutely nothing to do, I become glued to the internet haha.
2 more UU's
Estee Lauder perfectionist sample - I can't say whether I'd wba or wnba, because sometimes one sample packet doesn't give you the full idea of what the product can do. I can say that I didn't have any adverse effects on my face when I applied this.
Aveda - damage remedy restructuring conditioner - OMG. WOW! What an amazing hair conditioner. This was the 10ml sample size (i have loads more of this). My hair feels absolutely amazing right now. WBA.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge
