Hi emsjune, thanks so much for your post re Cheshire Oaks TBS. Sorry you had a bad day at work yesterday. I'm the same when I have time off. I had 4 days off in April and the only outstanding piece of work I left my boss said she would deal with. It was waiting for me when I got back. I was chatting about my holiday yesterday and a comment of "2 weeks is too long to have off" was made. I'm determined not to think about it when I'm away though.

Well done on not eating choccie or spending on cosmetics. What film did you see?

I'm glad its not just me, comforting to know others are in the same boat and thank you ladies as ever for the kind words and good advice. I know its 'only work' but we spend so much time there and are under such demands it can really get you down at times.

We saw Abraham Lincoln Vampire Slayer in 3D which I know sounds a bit cheesy but it was actually really quite good - I liked how they'd mixed fact with fiction. First film I've seen in 3D and I must admit I did jump in a few parts!!

Rosemary I've some similar issues with my OH lately too, he's recently started a new job which is very demanding and means he works shifts and has rest days in the week etc so we're not always off together - he seems to expect me to book leave to fall in line with him when that's just not always going to be practical with my workload and he simply can't expect me to do it on a virtually weekly basis. I hope things improve for you. It does help to let off a bit of steam though doesn't it.

Back OT, I've a few IN and UU to declare in an end of the month flurry of activity.

    Starting with the UU:

Primark 4 in 1 gentle cleansing wipes - these are the ones in the white packaging and are unfragranced which I found much better than the pink ones which I felt were very heavily fragranced and a bit irritating. These are pretty effective at removing makeup and a total bargain at £1 for a twinpack. Willl definitely pick some more up next time I'm in there.

Johnsons Daily Essentials cleansing wipes - these are actually a GA as I tried one and had a very bad reaction to it almost instantly. These are the ones in pink packaging designed for normal skin - they don't smell too strong but seem a bit rough and scratchy. I was gifted these and did approach them with some caution as I'd had a less severe reaction to them about 6 or 7 yrs ago. Wish I hadn't have bothered as a couple of days on my skin is still irritated. Once its been upset I have to be a bit careful about what I use as its very prone to flaring up again until it completely settles down.

L'Oreal Everpure Shampoo & Conditioner sachets - Love these, love the smell and the results - will definitely be buying some but may get the volume version I've seen on the Boots website rather than the moisture one as these were. Was pleasantly surprised at the price at £5.99 each as thought they'd be more and Boots currently have the range on 3 for 2 as well as other products - there's also serum etc in the range.

Gaultier Le Lait body lotion - This was in the classic curvy lady type bottle but was made out of tough plastic with a very small opening so was very impractical, especially once I got around half way through the bottle. Ended up carving the poor dear in half with a bread knife in order to get to the last quarter! Was really lovely, same scent as the perfume but a little more subtle. This was a present and I was 'saving' it but used it in an everyday fashion applying PRCP :T

I got indiv info sheets for a couple of products but not an over all one

Just had a look at someones blog and it shows a printed sheet in the top of the box, plus heard mention of a discount code and have neither? A bit confused.

My IN are mainly from my LIB box which I love (I got a large printed sheet with info about all the products in mine and a few individual ones from the different brands with GWP offers or discount offers also). So the items are as follows:
Etat Pur Micellar Cleansing Water (190ml)
Melvita Naturalift Youthful Skin Cream (15ml)
    Murad Exfoliating Cleanser (30ml)
Balance Me Moisture Rich Face Cream (10ml)
    L'Occitane Angelique Hydration Cream (15ml)
    Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Complex (4ml)

I also bought some Nivea face wipes today from HB - I'm trying to use 'proper' cleanser etc and makeup remover but I always have times when I'm in a hurry or too tired that these wipes come in handy. Really like the Nivea ones for normal/combination skin which HB do a twinpack of for around £2.50.

UU just outnumbering IN for the month - there are a few things I need to replace but I'm doing without at the moment or using alternatives as will hang on until July.

As well as I've been doing, I keep finding more products that should have been on the original stash list but have been variously concealed around the house. Last night I was looking for my passport in some small storage boxes in my bedroom and found the following:

No. 7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Toner 30ml
No. 7 Cleanse & Care Eye Makeup Remover 30ml
No. 7 Soft & Soothed Gentle Cleanser 30ml
Clinque Take the Day Off 30ml and 50ml

I'm sure they breed! God knows how long they've been in there but I'm pretty sure I've never used any of the No. 7 things but the makeup remover and toner are only half full as if they've evaporated!! Just goes to show why I joined this challenge in the first place. Both the clinique bottles are part used so think I'll tip the smaller one into the bigger one for a cheap UU!

I was lucky enough to get the full size versions to trial, and by using them in conjunction with Elvive, I should have them for a good few months yet.
I also love the smell and results, best shampoo I've ever used and yes, I think £5.99 is a great price for the quality. I won't be building up a stash though.. :)

Trouble is when he is actually with me all we seem to do is argue about his lack of interest in me and his obsession with work:(:(:(:(

I know the feeling, hope things get better soon Rosemary. Had a use up of Anew facewash, ended up repurposing as shower gel. Glad to finally use up as it was a freebie with some Avon skincare and I wanted to start my Liz Earle cleanse and polish. I really like the smell of the cleanse and polish, so once I have used my 30ml samples I may buy full size.

PS, having had such a low spend in June I have seriously got the urge to buy more, come July, so need to think of ways to resist. I am regretting not getting the LIB box.

Another uu today, my Body shop Love etc perfume has all gone, have been using this everyday for what feels like forever and am ready for a change. I am moving on to a 1/3 full bottle of Champneys Exotic Body Spray - love this and was saving it but not quite sure for what.

Also have 16 GA's to the teenage daughter of a friend:

Good Things 5 minute face mask
    Avon Olive oil face mask
2 true lip and cheek stain
2 true lip and cheek tint
Mememe poppy lip and cheek tint
    Maybelline dream mousse blush
    Avon light makeup
    Collection 2000 naturally radiant foundation
    No7 gwp Radiance Revealed
St Ives scrub - sample size
    No17 all about nude pallette
    ELF creme eyeshadow duo
    Batiste Blush dry shampoo
    No7 Heavenly Hydration Face Mask
    Botanics cleansing balm

    can't remember the last item.

Some were brand new and others tried a couple of times but there is no point in hanging onto them. I wouldn't have thought twice about chucking them or giving them away at one time but the :money:er in me finds it hard now even when I don't use them.

  • weesmiler - awww that sucks! Yes concealer does work, hope you find one that matches!

Rosemary - hugs dear. Men are so difficult, you can't live with them and you can't live with(out) them lol. Mine goes away quite a bit too, it's a weird life to live when your OH is away, but at least you have us here :)

I have a few INs after shopping this evening for a friend's hen do - didn't get anything for the hen do that I needed but did get:

Rimmel 60 seconds nail varnish in Sky High, which I think I may try out this evening
Burt's Bees Almond Milk beeswax hand cream 55g
Burt's Bees orange essence facial cleanser with orange oil 120g

I love Burt's Bees and these were in exchange for 2 bottles of their radiance body lotion which I'm not a fan of as it's glittery, so no buying involved! My favourite type of shopping!
