I need to remember this, finished today for a few days off having worked almost all of June, doing crazy hours. This week alone I've 5 1/2 extra hours from 3 days that should only be 9-5, so having a glass of wine just now and a lie in tomorrow :)
I think work is taking over many peoples lives:(e.g DH was away the last two part weeks in Denmark then this week away monday night drove to his office for a works BBQ on tuesday arriving home late then off wed to office followed by a dinner again home late so have seen him awake for about half an hour this week and even at weekends he is in his home office most of the time!:mad::mad::mad:He did have the grace to say he would come home early tonight instead of going for his usual swim.Trouble is when he is actually with me all we seem to do is argue about his lack of interest in me and his obsession with work:(:(:(:(not a healthy or happy situation and if I do moan all I get is you get a job where I can change mine for a less demanding one!..............er I am 57 and of the generation who stayed home to mind the babies!
sorry to moan ,this forum does help me let of steam tho:rotfl:and do enjoy all the chat and the secret swaps are great fun, think i get more out of choosing nice gifts from my stash than receiving them.

Morning ladies! I am being very good but the itch to buy new things is returning! I am currently using a TBS Earthlovers shower gel which is driving me up the wall. It's the cucumber and mint one but it smells like banana to me! It sounds silly but it's really annoying me that it smells completely different to what it's supposed to!

Sorry that you're having a hard time Rosemary. Big hugs xx

I have a couple of UU to report

TBS raspberry body scrub - I don't know if this is because I have had this open for so long (probably about 2 years!) but it was extremely runny and I had to use a lot of it for a good scrub. The smell is lovely though, really fuity even after all that time. I think I have decided to stop using scrubs and just use my exfoliating mitts though as I think they work a lot better. Although I still have a number of scrubs in the stash to use up, no more buying them.

Molton Brown Seasmoss bath and shower gel - This was a gift so I wont complain too much! The consistency is lovely and I enjoyed using it in that sense but I didn't like the smell. It was rather cheap smelling and could have been Radox (no offense to Radox users!).

Sure roll on deodorant - I tend to buy whichever is offer so yes WBA when on offer.

I am also testing out a sample of Garnier BB cream today and I'm not sure I'm impressed, my face feels sticky and clammy - although this may just be the weather today! I'll keep trying and give it a few days to be fair.

I had a very embarrassing moment today.... Was doing a visit with work, always trying to maintain the professional appearance, and I slipped and fell on decking at the back door of a house!! Right in front of the client. Big bruised knee, filthy trousers and a big stain on my jacket. Got my tubigrip bandage on now, but I'm rather sore! Thing is....I rarely get my legs out, and it so happens I'm going to a wedding this weekend and have a lovely new knee length dress to wear. Can't believe I'm going to have a big purple bruise :( I wonder if concealer works on legs........

Hope your knee is ok today? Perhaps slather on lots of arnica gel over the next few days to help the bruise?

I've been very bad with keeping up on this thread this month, lots of updates to my stash list, I'll sit down tonight and do it. My big exam is tuesday and I'm so nervous! :(

Ouch. Poor you. :o Decking is lethal unless very regularly cleaned and scrubbed. My son wanted us to have it but I knew it would have had me on the floor before he got round to cleaning it.

You probably wouldn't want to claim against the client but it was possibly their fault you fell, if your trousers and jacket were dirty it sounds as if the decking was coated with moss and algae.
I agree with the arnica suggestion, my sister swears by it.
I'd imagine concealer would work, and at least the skin wasn't broken, it could have been worse.

Thanks folks, yes, have been using arnica and had ice on it last night so the lump has gone down a bit. Having pale skin and red hair, I seem to bruise very easily, so it's nothing unusual, just typical it should happen when I'm about to get my legs out lol! I've got no intention of claiming, was no ones fault, accidents happen...different if it was a shop or something.

Rosemary, I'm sorry you're not having the best time, it's hard to get the balance right in relationships. I hope things get better soon xx

Was tempted by some benefit stuff on the debenhams website today, but I resisted, however, I did buy a pair of shoes at 4am when I got up to go to the loo and remembered that the schuh sale started at midnight last night!!! Xx
