I have a confession to make. I nipped out this morning and when I got home my neighbour had taken in a parcel which I had forgotton was due. Last week I received an email from Crabtree & Evelyn saying they were doing 500ml sizes of some of their items at 4 for £30. I adore the La Source range and normally buy 250ml body wash and 250ml body lotion in a set at somewhere around £23, so at £7.50 for twice the amount it was too good to miss. So ins as follows:

    500ml La Source Body Wash
    500ml La Source Body Lotion
500ml Summer Hill Bath and Shower Gel
    500ml La Source conditioner

I wanted the goats milk shower gel but it had sold out but the Summer Hill smells divine. I don't even feel the tiniest bit guilty as I love their stuff so much and they will be enjoyed. Having said that I am not going to spend one single penny in July on unneccesary things, the only things i may need are toothpaste and cotton pads but I don't stash these items so they don't count.

Re the losing weight thing, I used to buy myself a little treat for every half stone I lost, just a nail polish or lipstick but it was a little reward to look forward to.

Dolly - this was the same offer that I took advantage of in the Jan sales (before joining this group!) I'm using the Summer Hill body lotion at the moment and I love it. I think it's a fantastic offer if you use C&E stuff :)

A late HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to Maddiemay :):):)

I can see the metal pan on an eyeshadow. Shame there's about another hundred more...

That means you're almost halfway done with the e/s! I've been using the same 4 e/s everyday since 1st December and one is only a ring left round the edge of the pan but it's been like that for about 10 weeks now and it still shows no sign of giving up!

People on a number of threads have reported sunshine, all I can say is, not here (NE England) and not for the rest of the week. It's overcast here but quite warm with a very light breeze. The washing line is full and I've also sprayed weedkiller where needed - they've sprouted so fast! - so I'm crossing fingers it won't rain.

I completely agree with Scrappie's comments on different rates of sinking in for lotions, forgot to quote it, but interesting that a very expensive brand should be carp too. I didn't really need a shower this morning but had one as I was gel testing, and used my new Avon Skin So Soft Dry Oil spray.

It's a new variant, without going upstairs I can't remember if it's jojoba or argan oil, but it IS very nice. I'm relegating the poorer performers to feet and lower legs. Life is too short to use stuff that annoys me.

Assuming that anyone is in the market for it, Aldi have some very good specials in sun care/fake tan coming on this Thursday.
SPF 50 water-resistant, & once a day lotions, anti -ageing sun cream, face and body bronzers and after-sun gels, also what look like very good quality lip balms at £1.19 for 3.

I put the LIB box into "my basket" and then took it out again, it looks brilliant, but I still have quite a few nice sample sizes of Balance Me, Emma Hardie, Clarins and Lancome to try, so decided to give it a miss this time.

I was tempted by the LIB box but am resisting. I was also looking forward to seeing the Gatineau tsv but am not quite at the advanced anti ageing stage yet so that is a bit more money saved.

Well done both for excellent willpower! - I am afraid I caved in and bought the LIB but did resist the Gat so put £5 in my SPC for that. The LIB had things I had never tried before and they are a good way of testing things out without spending lots of money on the full sizes so decided to take the plunge on that one.

Hello, its me again. You have persuaded me to join in this month, my stash list is pasted below. As you will see my weakness is facial skincare and sample sizes. I find it really hard to use up sample sizes because I like looking at them. Sad, I know. I will commit to putting £1 in a box everytime I use up a product and 20p for sachets. I am also going to be bold and say I will put £10 in for every week I resist buying toiletries...
    .

Welcome - the £1 really works - I have £110 accumulated since January and have to say that I haven't missed the odd £1 here and there as I have added it to my pot for every UU achieved. I also add £5 to a seperate pot every time I resist a TSV that I would have bought previously as this is my area of weakness. This one is my sealed pot which we get to open at the end of November (I think) - it is feeling nice and heavy even now so it will be interesting to see how much I have managed to save in that when I open it up.

Also, one more UU to declare:

Molton Brown heavenly air - WNBA - this is nice but really nothing more than a glorified air freshener. Have 2 more of these in my stash (different fragrances) to UU.

I haven't posted in ages so apologies. I'm also a newbie. I know we said no toilettries, but what happens if you buy a lipstick to replace one you have used up -does this count?.

Welcome - this thread is a real help to me in my quest to stop splurging so much on toiletries, make up, nail varnish etc etc etc.

Also, belated happy birthday to Maddiemay:bdaycake:.

I'm back, been AWOL for 4/5 days, tried the dry shampoo, not very impressed with it. Away to catch up with about 9 pages
