amazon sale problems

Hi guys,
I bought a phone on ebay about a week ago but a friend of mine gave me her old phone so I put the one I bought up for sale on amazon as I thought it would be less hassle and I try not to use ebay any more for selling due to scammers and such in the past.
It was fine when I used it for the few days I had it and so assumed it would be perfectly working when I sold it. Now the person I've sold it to claims that she called up tmobile and they say that it's blacklisted. I quickly apologised and asked her to send it back for a full refund. She said she refuses to send it back until she receives the full refund as she 'doesn't trust me'. Should I do this or is she trying to scam me and keep the phone and money? I have the imei so I will check this upon receiving it. Also, she keeps sending me threats that she will report me to amazon and such (I'm assuming she means start a case). I've asked her to start a case as it will put us both at ease but she doesn't seem to want to do that.
What should I do?

As you have the imei call Tmobile yourself and check with them if its been blocked and why, alternatively for £1.99 you can check here http://www.checkmend.com/uk/.
If its blocked she will have to return before refund with or without an Amazon claim.
Edit:
You will also have the information you need to go back to your ebay seller if needed0 -
Tread carefully with this as Amazon are harsher than ebay and the last thing you want is an A to Z claim and Amazon refunding without getting the phone back.
It might be worth speaking to Amazon seller customer services- they work quite short hours so check the times , I have found them useful in the past.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks Steve. I've found out through tmobile that it was reported as stolen hence the inability to use it. The previous seller must've done this. Teaches me not to buy from new sellers. Lesson learned. He's also not responding to the case I've opened on ebay. This is unbelievably frustrating. The amazon buyer refuses to send me it back. I worry that amazon will just give her back the money and she will be too angry to send me it back. Can this potentially happen?0

she did open an a-z claim unfortunately. Do I have to refund her now without even getting it back? I've messaged amazon and they said they'd get back in 24 hours. 0 -

With Amazon yes it can, they are much stricter than ebay and buyers have all sorts of extra rights. However dealing with it should mean that at least you get your phone back, but do talk to CS.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. What is a blocked phone worth? I know it would be annoying to not get it back but even if you do the buyer will want their return P+P paid which you can't do via Amazon as the amount of refund will be limited to the total amount the buyer paid. (I used to send return P+P via PayPal if I had made a mistake on Amazon)
If it was me I would just refund and write it off to experience ( I am hoping it is not a very expensive phone).0 -

It cost me £100 to buy and I sold it for £98 so I do need it back for my ebay case so that I can return it to the scamming person that sold it to me in the first place. I know it's not worth a lot as a blocked phone to further sell it on but I did pay a lot for it thinking it was not a blocked phone.0 -
*update* I've spoken to amazon customer service and they said that I should represent my side of the story on the case centre and should not refund them until I have the item. So I'm hopeful that eventually this will work out and I'll have this stupid phone sent back to mr. scamming scammerson (who by the way, kept harassing me to leave him positive feedback).0

Be careful about accusing people of being a scammer selling a blocked phone when you yourself have also done it. If everyone selling a blocked phone is a scammer, then you have just outed yourself.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
