I agree, that's the one I have used and it is lovely and moist and very easy to make.0 -
Thanks all! I went with zippychick's recommendation as she was the first to post and I was in the middle of my sainsbo online order. I'll try the Rachel Allen one first, and work my way through. The BBC Good Food one does look good but I wanted a recipe with proper icing (I know I could have 'mixed and matched'), plus philly cream cheese is on bogoff at sainsbo...
**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

bless ya! I know, i was checking out all the links last night thinking "hmmmm, do i try make another one, or stick with what i know"! I mean if it's not broke , don't try fix it , right?!
I put some crushed chocolate buttons or cadburys twirl etc on top . It is rich enough, but I'm a glutton for punishment and i think it just tops it off !
Let me know how you get on:j

I've used this one from Gordon Ramsay: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/food_and_drink/recipes/article2583745.ece
The cake itself is delicious but I don't use the orange topping. I just do an ordinary 'philly-style' cheese topping as that's what we like.0 -
There are some lovely looking recipes on this thread so I'll add it to the main carrot cake recipe thread to keep the replies together.

Hey! I haven't made it yet, the carrots were delivered this evening as part of my sainsbo order, along with the philly for the topping, I would have made it but I had to make a leek and potato gratin

to use up some very sad leeks (I'm getting much better at this not chucking food away! And I also need to learn how to do the hyperlink blue thingy so I don't have to post the whole link) so I'm going to try and make it tomorrow**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D
