Let me put it this way then.
If you knew somebody that maybe broke a window or damaged property whilst drunk, drove a car back from the pub whilst over the limit last week, or smoked some pot at a party last weekend, maybe bought some cut price smuggled half price drink and tobacco from a guy in the pub last Friday night or maybe bought a fake handbag for his wife.
Would you in for any of the above telephone the 'hotline' and report them? I doubt it very much.
If, on the other hand, you thought that the guy next door with his new Motability car on the drive, who plays eighteen rounds twice a week, plays football for the local side every other weekend, and claims DLA & ESA telling everyone that he can't work, walk or even care for himself due to illness and disability, was claiming those benefits would you ring the 'hotline'?
I would imagine you would.
You obviously don't know me do you;).........You seem to have formed your own stereotypical view of the General Public with little justification... I know that benefit abusers are a minority in the same way that benefit recipiant bashers are...Suggesting I wouldn't dob-in a drink driver but would a benefit cheat does you no favours, you seem bery bitter for no apparent valid reason.
I don't have any axe to grind nor wallow in self pity...
I had Chronic Asthma for over 20yrs,spending almost half my life in Oxygen tents and could have gone down the Benefit route but chose not to so please don't go down that road.0 -
On the 30th of May I said :
- reliably’ means to a reasonable standard [ yes I know !]
-‘In a timely fashion’ means in less than twice the time taken by someone without an impairment
-‘repeatedly’ means as many times during the day as the activity requires. Account should be taken of the cumulative effects of pain and fatigue
-'Safely’ means in a way that is unlikely to cause harm to the individual or anyone else
- 'intermittent' means for at least half the duration of the activity
- 'continual' means throughout the entire duration of the activity
On the 12th of June I add Aids and appliances The assessment will take some account of aids and appliances which are used in everyday life. In this context:
- aids are devices that help a performance of a function, for example, walking sticks or spectacles.
- appliances are devices that provide or replace a missing function, for example artificial limbs, collecting devices (stomas) and wheelchairs.
Assessment will normally take into account the aids and appliances that individuals normally use, low low cost, commonly available ones which someone with their impairment might reasonably be expected to use .. .. even if they are not normally used. Individuals who use or could reasonably be expected to use aids to carry out an activity will generally receive a higher scoring descriptor than those who can carry out the activity unaided.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. I try to be an even-handed poster and accept that you at times may not agree with these opinions or how I choose to express them, this is not my problem.
