Wifi Suddenly Carp, O2 done all they can do!

Ok, started to notice my internet dragging like hell. Over a 1 month period I monitored it. Between 0.3mb - 6mb at best. No corrolation between time (e.g. was evenly lower at peak and off peak).

One my third o2 modem (plus filter etc)
Changed my chanel
Had the exchange speed highered (putting out 17mg)
I did manage 11 plus mb for about a day

o2 are basically saying they have done all they can do (third modem being the last option) and that it's something interfering with my wifi that they cannot control. (plugging in my ethernet gets 13mb but not very practical to have it plugged in unless I want to st the the hall outside the front door)

Lived in my house without issue for over a year and only recently has it gone funny.

Sat in my bedroom (up the stairs and to the left) i'm less than 10 meters away but only showing a signal strength of 2 bars.

What else can I do?
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

Buy a pair of homeplugs and use ethernet.
Scan for interfering signals using inSSIDer.
Check for obvious items that may be interfering like CT2 bas stations.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

No way will my mum let me buy a massive cable and let me run it up the stairs and into my room!

    Downloading inSSIDer now

What on earth is a CT2 BAS Station?

    Duchy, your everywhere lol

There were 13 channels available. I tried maybe 5/6 of them.

I had to do it by logging in as apparently they couldn't do it remotely.

In the last hour my speed has ranged from 5mb to 0.2mb. That can't be right.

They couldn't do it remotely? Surely that says straight away that there's a problem that they need to sort out! I noticed problems the last 2 months, called them, they logged in and changed the channel and its be okay since but never the same as it was. I'm currently out of contract with them and trying to decide weather or not to stick with them as I'm on one of the old legacy packages.

When a neighbour of ours was using video senders, accross the way he blocked our wifi out. O2 are right about if it, but I would try another router
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I've been on the phone in total about 6 hours about this to various different people. They changed the chanel a number of times which worked for at most a day.

The partner has mentioned these (although will need to google them as i'n not sure exactally what they do) but I was hoping to exhaust other possibilities before admitting defeat, Clearly there is an issue somewhere.

You've got a clear clash with a Sky router on channel 1. You want to be on anything other than ch 1 or 6. Try 11.Are you hitting 'Apply' after changing channels and then logging out and then back in to check that the channel has actually been changed?
If that doesn't work, a pair of Homeplugs is the best solution.
