Tesco deal of day mothers day flowers free chocs and 500 points

Tesco Deal of the day - valid till Tuesday 13th March 10am - "Adore" bouquet + free box of Belgian choocolates + extra 500 points ( total 524 points ) for £24.50 delivered ( extra charge for delivery if you want it on Sunday ). Nearly £21 worth of points hence effectively a bouquet and chocolates delivered for about £3.50, could be worth considering. http://direct.tesco.com/flowers/q/R.200-0346.aspx

Not being an expert on clubcard points the perceived saving can only be obtained if taking the points as Clubcard Deals and not the ordinary vouchers for in-store use as You can get 4x more with Clubcard Deals £2.50 Clubcard Vouchers = £10 Deals or am i missing something?

Just a note on this, it is not going through online so you have to give them a call. If you take the chocs off then it goes through but call them and it comes with free delivery and free chocs as well as the 500 points.

No, you are not missing something, most of us on these boards/forums use our CC Points for Deals, this means that 524 points gives you almost £21 in deals so effectively you are paying £24.50 for the flowers and getting £21 back in deals vouchers. We look at it as a kind of 'savings club' we would have had to buy something for Mothers Day anway so we gve our business to Tesco instead an in return get £21 in our little Tesco Savings Club which is going towards another trip to Disneyland Paris at the at of the year.

Our kids would not see Disney if it was not for Tesco I guess as it does cost a lot of money and 'every little helps' as they say. LOL!!

That's right, people shouldn't really treat the vouchers as being worth 4x as for a lot of offers you can't combine them with other discounts, so the saving s are usually not that much. e.g. theme park tickets can be found a lot cheaper than the Clubcard RRP and in some restarants you can't use them against the offers of lunch/meal deals etc.

Not as good as say Boots points where the spend can be used in the same store as you spent the money and used against most things (ncluding offers). ;)

I disagree rattla - the savings are a huge amount - we have just saved £660 on our new kitchen from MFI - something I class as a freebie from Tesco

and there is no way we would normally be able to take the kids to 3 theme parks in a week on holiday if it wasnt for the fact that each £1 clubcard voucher gives us £4 of entry fee - i have certainly never seen theme park entry tickets at a quarter of their normal price let alone being able to get tickets to 3 parks in one week for a quarter of the price - a price which is then paid in your vouchers anyway - or perhaps I am just looking in the wrong place

  • Pisback were only available for wine and groceries on pigsback I think, I did look but there was no option for flowers  or tesco direct

Ordered through quidco, 3%, flowers, chocolates, 527 clubcard points and one happy mother. I can be smug and a good daughter at the same time ;)

One note, if you're ordering more than 1 bunch of these for some reason it won't let you pick a delivery date, I tries another bunch of flowers and a flowers by post bunch as well and neither would let me choose a delivery date
