Just as an after-thought really about them being delivered by hand. I am having them delivered to my house on Saturday and then I'll take them round to mum on Sunday, Mothers Day, so she gets a hand delivered bouquet and chocs and I get my points. if they look a bit scant I'll pop down to the Farm Shop and get them topped up with a few extra on Saturday or Sunday Morning but I would have had to buy something and getting the points as well is an added bonus. So, if you want them delivered by hand then get them delivered to yourself and then take them - plus you can check on the card, spelling and that the flowers are OK.

I love Clubcard points!! We had a holiday to Florida, days out, Disneyland Paris and off to Disneyland Paris again at the end of the year and al in the Space of 18 months!! All I do different is the hings I buy so people get wine for presents which I would not have given before and now I do. Plus I also have some boxes knocking around to give out as Xmas 'Thank you's' for unexpected guests and the milkman!!

To the persona booking their holiday to Disney - having booked with them Virgin take the coupons for extras (like tickets and days out) whereas other travel companies do not so try and get as many days out trips as you can. If not already you might wasnt to consider staying in the Disney Accomodation - not only can you get to and from the parks for free from your hotel (otherwise $10 a day to park in Disney) but also you can add the Disney meal plan on as well, it means you'll get to eat for 1/4 of the cost and we found food the biggest expense. It might mean saving for an extra 6 months to do this - you can call Tesco and ask them to add the vouchers going out of date onto you next statement (or you could use one voucher to order one £2.50 days out deal voucher and the rest of the points gets added back onto your next statement) but make sure you can get as much as you can for the vouchers you use!! The prices of the holidays are hiked up (as we found after investingating DIY prices) but get what you can - trips, tickets, days out, evening entertainment shows, food, the lot and at a 1/4 of the usual cost, far outweighs the cost you'll save by going DIY if you have saved that much on your deals. Well done!! Hope that helps.

Blue-monkey can I ask did pay for Disney tickets and excursions with your clubcard deals as I thought you had to pay cash for any extras? I have used previous deals for days out and MFI and am now concentrating on saving for Virgin - £1200 worth of deals so far. It would be fantastic if I could buy the park tickets as well.

Ooh just spotted your comment on the dining plan, did you use deals for this, as I was budgeting to pay cash for this?

Also have you been on https://www.thedibb.co.uk a fantastic forum about Disney and Florida.

    Hi FloFlo,

No I as told I could use vouchers for anything else but another company we booked with, Cresta did not let me do this and I was able to add the tickets onto the price (I guess they were part of the package price) but I could not add any shows or extras like Character breakfasts on with them.

With Virgin, intially I was told I could have free Eurostar tickets as they were on promotion with each holiday booked but when I called back and confirmed the booking they told me I could not have these as I was using vouchers but yes, the holiday (hotel and flight) was slightly less than the vouchers I had and the rest of the vouchers went towards the tickets. Virgin did tell me that vouchers could be used towards the TOTAL cost of the holiday including extras. I think it depends on who you go with and whether their policy has changed as we booked ours last Septmeber time.

No, we did not use the dining plan this time as when we booked it had not been bought out and we did not stay in Disney. However, we are planning to go back nd stay in the Animal Lodge for a week and yes, we will use the dining plan as it works out cheaper than buying 2 meals at the hotel. Breakfast for 2 adults and one child at the AL was around $55 with tip so - depending on what you was doing and where you was satying - do think it a whorthwhile option.

The best thing I would do is call and confirm with them before you start saving extra as it could mean you can get it early and get the benefit of some extra savings. Also worth checking out the virgin atlantic website to find out when the cheapest flights are an booking at this time. I sat for hours looking through after we got back - a week in Animal Lodge, flights and a week in the other place we'll go (we have a week sitting timeshare out there we can take 5* for £150 so will go there for 2nd week) we can get for around £2240 - yet if we book through Virgin for a week in Animal Lodge and then a week in a 2* hotel it will cost u (without extras and same as above) for £3350!!!! It just depends on whether we save enough vouchers as personally I think I'd use them elsewhere if I did not have that many. It is a hard call really if you have lots and lots of vouchers to use but reasearch everything before you book and make sure that where you stay and what you are doing is right for you.

Also bear in mind that some of the cheaper Disney Hotels do not have fridges or coffe making facilities (the AL does) and you need these as it is anything up to a 10 minute walk to the cafe and you really need that after a day at the parks and want a nice coffee!!

I'd say as as many questions as possible and be 100% sure that is what you want to do. BTW, if you wanted to do just disney/universal then go for the non-driving option as we would have had to pay £600 for car/ins/fuel/car seats, parking/tolls etc... whereas we only paid about £200 in taxi and bus fares - if that!! Bear this in mind if you do not intending on going further afield into the coastal areas and you are staying within 15 minutes drive of Disney - a 15 minute ride back to the hotel was around $20. Make friends with a taxi driver in your first few days and you'll get it cheaper if you arrange for them to do it. Ask for a card and they'll give you their cellphone number!!
