Yes, collecting tesco points does get addictive!
I've saved £890 in vouchers so far, when I get another £170, will convert the whole lot into Virgin deal tokens worth £4250 and that will pay for the family to take two weeks holiday at Disney Florida next year! Can't wait!!
Fantastic, how did you manage to rack up that many vouchers... most i managed to get was £55 then converted them to mfi vouchers

ok Rosy, so the best thing for me to do is keep these vouchers that I get in the post?? untill I get a good amount, then I send them away to get the deals they offer??
I think if you have an online clubcard account and you call up they add them to your online balance, but I am not too sure - maybe someone can confirm. I am going to try when my Mum forwards my last batch on so I will reply if this is the case.0 -
thank you Rosy............ as Im totally confused, but I think things are getting lighter now...
Will you let me know please??
Thanks you xxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Thanks for the tip on the flowers, I was looking for some nice ones for my Mum, and seems a good deal with the chocolates, free delivery and bonus points, plus I went through quidco and paid on a Tesco credit card for even more points!0

Yes that's what I do, keep them in a separate envelope in my purse - I save them up for as long as it takes to get enough for the deal I want. I've saved them for the whole two years they're valid for before ( we've had two great holidays, son's had driving lessons, as well as lots of smaller things. I'm thinking about using the next lot to pay for university courses! ) It really is amazing how they add up, especially if you use all the bonus points vouchers and extra points coupons that come up, use a Tesco credit card, get points through your gas/ electricity etc. Like the others have said on here, look at the various threads for all the weird and wonderful ways to get the points total up. I have friends who have never bothered taking their clubcard to the shop because it's not worth it for a few pence, but I reckon we've saved hundreds of pounds over the years. One thing I would say though is I never buy something I wouldn't have bought anyway and I still shop where I find the item cheapest, I like to think I'm taking advantage of the points system and that it's not taking advantage of me!0 -
I am a fan of Tesco points, just had £1000 of Neff appliances delivered. However, experience with Tesco flowers has proved very disappointing, particularly the roses!! There doesn't appear to be many flowers in this spray for the price, I dont think its a bargain, sos, even with the points, bearing in mind these are not guaranteed, Several times I have lost out with my points, particularly on wine deals!!
I was tempted, but £25!! They are only sent in the post not delivered as such!!
Far better bargains to be had if you buy them and deliver by hand, especially with a KISS!!!!ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷0 -

Tesco give loads of points on wine deals!! So you spend £60 on 1/2 price wines and get 1000 or 1500 points, sometimes even free delivery. Its all about timing and ordering in bulk, even register your other 1/2!
Various sites, inc MSE give Ecodes for these points, but it takes time and trial and error (posted ecodes dont always work, some are out of date or just for specific people), but well worth ithe effort.
I have just bought loads of appliances, I treat myself to Neff as it feels like I am getting them for free. Bearing in mind, Internet shopping is convenient to me as I work full time and also a mum to 3 kids.ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷0 -
so, is it a good idea for me to sign up to different deals with tesco??0

I think you've made a really good point ( pardon the pun!
) about using the whole Tesco points system carefully to make sure that you are getting the best out of it. What will be a fantastic points offer for some won't be that great for the next person, it all depends what you want to buy with the points and what you would usually buy to get the points in the first place. You have to weigh up each offer to see if it really is a bargain for you.I think it all comes down to remembering the old thing about a bargain's not a bargain if you don't really want it or need it in the first place. There is no sense in going crazy collecting points buying things you wouldn't normally buy in order to get a 1/4 price deal on something you wouldn't normally have wanted. After all I'm sure loyalty schemes are there primarily because the supermarkets want to make money out of us and not because they just want to do us a favour!
I completely agree about delivered flowers not being value for money - no matter what the quality of the bouquet you are always going to pay a huge mark up compared with buying similar in the shops and taking them to the recipient by hand. But much as most people would prefer to take their mum flowers on Mother's day sometimes distance or other circumstances make it impossible and there are times when there might not be an option other than to pay for that delivery service. I did consider the whole value thing when I looked at this particular offer to start with. My sister has ordered from Tesco flowers before and she felt that the quality was good - actually it was a bunch of roses she ordered! Personally I wouldn't have bought these flowers without the points - although I think they look lovely, even with the free chocs they were still quite expensive - but then I thought
- I will be using the clubcard points to buy a deal I definitely would have bought anyway with real money so if I didn't get the extra points I would still have to pay out £21. The deal I am going to buy is a genuine 1/4 price one, unlike the holiday type deals where sometimes you get it for more like 1/3 of the price ( these can still be very good offers though ! )
- The genuine extra cost I would be paying for the flowers and chocs and delivery would then be £3.50. Even if I was buying an equivalent bouquet and chocolates off the shelf and taking them by hand I wouldn't be able to get anything like it anywhere near that price.
I think your wine points are excellent - I've done a fair few in the past and I'm stashed out with wine now! ( Again, more than I would have bought without the points but for me personally the net gain is well worth it ). I've also found that sometimes the points didn't go on, but it pays to email the customer services department - sometimes it takes a bit of persistence  but I've always managed to get them all on eventually. It might still be worth having a go if you've got a note of the ones that didn't get added ( I now take a screen shot of the confirmation page with the number of points on it as well as saving any confirmation emails as I've always been asked for evidence of the offers when I've emailed in ).0
