  • When i was in asda today a lady enquired as to why they were so reduced (mango chutney) and the asda guy says they always do this when there about to change the packaging to get rid of the old stuff.

Baking stuff wasn't rtc or fruit but I did get a lot of cooking sauces. anchor cream is also only 50p.

I got some coconut biryani £1, sharwoods plum glaze £1, mango chutney 20p and 50p, 3 knorr chicken tonights mushroom, peppercorn and spanish chicken 40p, balti curry paste 50p, 3 country wise sauces 25p, 50p and 80p, 2 geetas curry pastes 25p and 50p and a pot of sour cream 40p. Cupboard is now full to bursting. Wasn't anything else left.

Its a bit difficult from the receipt to figure out which flavour costs what as it just said sauce or curry paste/curry. sorry I can't be more helpful mt.

noooooooooo:rotfl: phone asda customer services on: 0800 952 0101 say you bought xyz when you put them in your cake you realised they were out of date and you're upset and they send you a gift card as goodwill, you can then return them for a refund as well:)

Having read your posts I've just checked my packets I bought today and they are out of date also - Apr2012. Wouldn't normally bother me if they'd got out of date in my cupboard but not before you've even bought them. Customer services closed now so will ring tomorrow.

Not much in clapham junction, got the s&s shots and some sultanas that's it really, ragu etc were all £1

Did you take the Ragu and get it price checked? this happened to me with the chicken tonight sauce, marked at £1 but price was 40p. Same with the kids pasta, price not changed on shelf, but was 20p. HTH
  • Oh, also, a ten pack of ribena cartons is reduced to down to £1 from £2, so half price.
