  • My asda had 40p Ragu today, only a couple of jars though but I don't remember seeing it when everything else was cheap. And trust me, I looked everywhere :D

Quite a few sweets and chocolates reduced in my asda, not sure if it's just local or not but they've got good dates on anyway so could be worth checking out.
Some Rhubarb and custard sweets - 50p (from 88p)
Asda Chocolate bars (hazelnut, caramel, mint, turkish delight)- 40p (from £1)
    Giant milk/white chocolate buttons - 50p (from £1)

Various other bits and bobs on the same aisle as well.

been to my ex-netto asda today and they had

Chosen By You Linguine for 50p a packet (RTC)
and Conchiglie pasta half price (rtc) to 46p

there were also Sharwoods sauces rRTC - Thai Green Curry. Still got the chinese stir fry oil and some Extra Virgin Olive oil reduced... (half price again!)

There was other stuff STILL around, too!
Also some sale items now, in the party aisle including paper plates.

  • I'll watch out for the shampoo Valli but am really hoping there will be an offer on Tresemme hairspray. I had quite a good stock thanks to previous Asda offers but am now running LOW! Will post tomorrow if I find any!

They had large cans of Tresseme spray for £2 at Pudsey last week when I went.
Today got vanish pre wash stain remover spray 500ml for £1(normally £2.69)
also had Vanish in wash 450ml for £1
Surf liquigel capsules, 35pack for £5 (usually around £9)
All on offer as part of big clean event
(have a look for big clean under laundry and household on website ,there are lots of other things which I dont use)
I know it's not food but still a saving:-)

Picked up 764 grams of Beef Casserole steak for £3 today, second reduction, well pleased. Think am going to cook it via fry pan and add to rice & veg :)

Just to mention the casserole steak usually needs long slow cooking in liquid, then it's lovely. Not sure what you were planning to do with it after frying it, but it's not a fry and serve cut!

Thanks for the tip, I wasn't quite sure. I'm still learning about cuts of meat and how to best cook. I half wondered if it was just regular beef sold as "casserole steak" to upsell it lol.
In that case I think after frying it can be cooked in gravy in the oven and some trimmings added.
