Wish we had a driveway or were allowed to park on our front "garden".:(
Haven't heard of black bread since the BBc used to run imported TV series with titles like "Ivan and the horses".:D
And what could put anyone off the pleasure that is the custard slice - or am I better off not knowing?
I agree with silvercar, it's not a magic number and I'm sure I've seen e.g. music threads which went past it.:)
Number wise, I think.it is just that more than one NP likes round numbers, so it just stuck as the target.
The cars looked hilarious on our drive (way too big for the space). And made my Dad's Focus look very plain indeed. Bit of a mare to get in and out of the cul de sac we live at the end of, but I have confirmed that if I ever win enough.on the euromillions (which my phone just tried to correct to ridiculousness!), I will be insisting.on one with twinkly star lights in the ceiling0 -

The Volvo last was definitely lighter than the Nissan too and smoother.
If we find money for a car obviously we will test drive them before finalising options. (ideally, if it didn't mean having a stupid number of cars I would really like a dog free small eco car to nip about in...like that smart roadster, but we don't want to have two cars. (and a lorry and a tractor).
...
I thought it was quite good when towing things (mind, it's the only recent model Volvo I have driven).0 -
I've taken the dog for a walk in the terrible rain!
DW's off seeing a show tonight, so time for me to settle in front of the telly. Got a huge curry in my belly.
Now what's on that's any good?:think:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
When you meet DW again you all have to pretend you don't know this but she also got stuck in the bathroom but luckily had her mobile...
My friend (toddlers mum) got stuck in there shortly after that day. I thought she was up there crying and had left toddler down stairs with me, but infact she was up there screaming for help. Farmer next door heard her and told nice builder who told me, and I ran up with a pair of scissors.
It's a pain that door.0 -
Perhaps I am not up with the type of car you want LIR, but have you looked at the Volvo XC60 ? It's one of these crossover SUV things but doesn't feel too big.

I think it's the xc90 I want. Not very good with model numbers. Most importantly I want a black one.
Biggest problem if we get a tractor and a horsebox is the dogs. Big dog is a bully, she cannot be travelled with dog dog. When we had the defender dog dog sat in the front with us,
So we need a boot that takes a Shetland pony, and a backseat that takes something the size of a small doe.
It's another reason to have small dogs.
I think dh is thinking it would be good if we can keep the horrid car ticking over till we can have a smaller big car iyswim, without carrying too heffalumps about. (dog dog weighs 37-42 kilos, big dog about 65-75 ...so big but not bigger than a man.0 -
Amazon sent dh the same used cd twice. Same seller. I will email them tomorrow, but weird hey? Notice you rarely get consumables twice!0

Right, I have taken PN's advice and tried using Corel Paint Shop Pro to compensate for barrel distortion on pictures I took of the Canada house on the lake.

I don't think it's quite worked though. (I'm not really a pictures person)
Do I need to apply even more compensation? I'm kicking myself for not using a regular digicam now.0 -
Still needs a bit of tweaking.... but it's fine.0

There's a "social hacking" meeting on Friday nights - Manchester uni (or, err cough, so I believe). You need to check out the characters who go. They are an extremely varied bunch0
