Gdb might be familiar with a powder blue rr (I think) often parked in hampstead or Swiss cottage....usually right outside Louis the bakers (I think the owner of the bakers owns the car). It's always struck me as utterly charming.
Tbh, I have reached the stage I need a driver more than a nice car.
Still trying to lean on dh to magic up money we don't have and consider the Volvo i like and a tractor. (which means we would also need to buy a horse box). I just do not trust our car.0 -

You know Louis Patisserie? It's one of those institutions that has been around since my childhood and probably before.

Custard slice? Sounds nice, just as long as you don't need to use any cutlery to eat it.
I haven't been to Louis for about 40 years, I'm afraid, but I still remember their meringues. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Posts that will be deleted later are becoming rife. Do we need a new thread dedicated to posts that will be deleted later? Perhaps the thread could be set up and then deleted a couple of hours later?!0

Oh dear. Now I am too hot. Have opened a door to heat another room in the house! Cats are sprawled over the furniture, so they must be hot too. Dog dog is staying defiantly in her spot by the fire though and big dog seems ok (she doesn't like to be too hot).
We are having oysters tonight so a cold room would have been horrid but a warm one will make them slip down like a treat.0
