Dropped DD off after buying her a meal at a nearby restaurant. Took two hours to get there and the streets were surprisingly empty and parking was easy to find (as Chewie had predicted). Took an hour to get home.
Wish the shorter journey had been on the way there so she wouldn't have felt it was far away; we'd taken her to Cardiff before and that only took half an hour longer.
Hope she doesn't feel isolated. Now there's three of us.

What sprt of horses do you like looking at?
I don't buy stuff.... and there's not a lot I like looking at
I like shuffling along water features.... rivers, boats..... and seeing really old buildings, wibbly wobbly places .... especially if there's dates/information or something special about them.

moules mariniere here for dinner tonight. we're having fried rice and veg with it.

That dish is a bit of a speciality in Brussels. I used to have it whenever there was a work need to stay over. I'm not quite sure why a place like Brussels gets linked with a sea food dish mind.
Oh, and my personal view....L'escargot in Brussels are often better than the same dish served in Paris. (Sacre Bleu I here you say

To be fair though, that does sound better than watching it live. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Pastures, forgive me for asking, but any reason you haven't bought a new laptop yet? I wondered if it would help you rebuild your empire, irrespective of where you're living. I will shut up now, for fear of sounding like your ll.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? What I really need is a new desktop... laptop was really only ever intended as a backup and/or for when travelling or out/about occasionally .... it's just turned into being the handiest due to the vast number of addresses I've tucked under my belt since I bought this in about 2008.vivatifosi wrote: »Pastures, forgive me for asking, but any reason you haven't bought a new laptop yet? So .... I need a new PC, but don't want to create belongings that have to be carted about .... new PC will be bought when I'm a little more settled.
So, living with what I've got.
New laptop/PC alone wouldn't help me rebuild my empire; I need space, more space, a proper space for the PC (aka a desk) .... and, more importantly, my own head space.... unfettered by LLs.
