Opinions please.
My village hold an even the coluntary organising commitee for which is standing down this year. Its an event that they get quite stressed by but is essentially a gig with a liquor licence and some party food. I know i could have done this standing on my head a few years ago.
Dh and my parents feel its 'too much' atm while things are up in the air. There is a meeting for those wanting to stand for the new commmitee in a couple of weeks, and i think i do want to. Presuming i am back on an even keel in a few weeks i think i will be kicking myself if i have not stood.0 -
Trawled every job listed in the four job centres within a 20 mile radius. Checked a specialist jobs website for new jobs since I last looked 2 days ago, within a 25 mile radius. Checked a leading online jobs website for all jobs in 10 industries, within 20 miles since I last checked.
Total of 0 jobs to apply for.
I either can't do them, or I could do them (but don't want to) and they're part-time.
That's me done job hunting for the day then.
Probably scanned a total of 350 jobs in that lot.0 -

Can you say you are interested in going to the meeting (is that what is in a couple of weeks, or the voting?), but let them know that it depends on how things go in between. If the meeting is just to declare an interest you aren't committing yourself to anything? Or are you?
I would say that FIR and parents know you and how you are atm better than we do across t'internet. But ultimately it is of course up to you, and I would think they will support you whatever you decide0 -

Depends how public you are about your health. Would it be terrible to you and to the committee) if you joined them and then had to pull out?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. PN do you think there is any chance that because you are special that you are ruling out jobs you could get because you don't meet the exact specification whereas others might assume there could be some flexibility?I think....0
