I'm sure your spelling is fine when it needs to be
I have noticed I'm lazier when typing (easier to rely on the red squiggly line), and my 'typing' on my phone is terrible. The autocorrect on it doesn't help much either.0 -

Strangley, feel oretty good for 27ish waking hours on the trot now, and no drugs involved. Having a cup of tea and dealing with corespondance before hitting the hay for a couple of hours. Meeting a carpenter this afternoon to see if he and we are compatible.
Hope you are alright LIR. Have a dodgy hug :grouphug: and don't push yourself too hard today.0 -
The other thing is:
I paid a fortune to qualify in this a few years back http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prince2
In this region they all want this instead http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agile_management
Which does tend to be a show-stopper as they are different.... and although I've applied in the past with mine, recruiters have specifically said they want the one they specified.0 -
Also annoying "Please send in your CV and covering letter, stating your current remuneration.". How much you currently earn is none of their business... and is annoying.0

I usually ignore that bit too. But then I've never been paid enough to really worry anyone0 -

i disagree, from the perspective of someone who has to read CVs and interview people. this may not work for all jobs, or even most jobs, but by looking at an accountant/lawyer's salary vs. their PQE vs. who their current employer is, you get quite useful information about how good they are at their job. (of course you need to adjust it downwards to reflect the fact that everyone lies...)0 -

The job should pay what it pays ..... and the person should be offered what the employer thinks they are worth in that role. End of. No clues! They often don't give clues in the job advert as to what the pay might be....0 -

If the job I am applying for is £50k, then the £100k is irrelevant, as is the £5/hour.

we just have a pretty wide salary band and then ask people what they want. then we offer then halfway between the bottom of the band and what they asked for. (unless they ask for the top of the band in which case we laugh in their faces, it seems).0 -
Interview tomorrow afternoon. Two parts:
1] Analysis of brief.
2] Interview with CEO + team
It's a ritin' job init.... doin' ritin, like wot I duz well
Applied for something else, but they thought my CV would be good for this other role they have. Forgot to ask about muneh .... so no idea if it's £10k or £100k.
Better start poking around in the few bags of clothes I've got here .... for an interview outfit. Thought I'd dug out my jackets/similar last week, but when I got it back here and unpacked it, it was all sheets and throws.
Edit: Email received, they're Muneh lenderz......
Edit 2: Googled job/them .... certainly a bunch of stuff in their "wants" list that I feel I'd fall short of.... oh well. Gets me out of the house for a few hours.
Edit 3: The bottom line is the job is to increase the number of people suckered into high APR loansDo I have morals? No.

It's all a faff these days.... if the employer is unable to read CVs then I don't know what the world's coming to
I don't think three hours per application is far wrong!
I'd go for quality over quantity. Match the application directly to the job description and the person specification.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
