I am Irish. Brought up in a household mix of great craic and domestic violence. It still makes me shudder.

I have been feeling pretty guilty about my responses to your posts. If you had posted on the families board you would have been implored to "GET OUT NOW!". "RUN", and called Hun.

I might not be a nice person afterall.

I am guessing it works for Gen. My mother was/ is a thrower, and tbh there was always some 'violence' and lots of shouting in our household (sister too). Most of the time its ok. I shout sometimes. Dh just goes all gooey eyed and says ' you look so sweet when you are cross, little cross face' which drives me crazy but then reminds me that i am in the wrong. He diffuses me in about three seconds. And i very rarely blow up now. Usually when cross or grumpy i just want to be myself so noone giggles at my 'sweet little cross face', and it happens rarely.

I like animals, who also get cross and lash out. I think perhaps my mother taught me that doesn't matter what you do, for some its instinct. Like with my mother, i generally find taking part in a tantrum escalates it standing back and letting them deal with it gets it over quicker. I hope one day to be more civilised and human than little cross face animal.

Parent threw away LO broccoli i have been looking forward to all day :(. LO don't feature in the menus of parent. Which might be why they have less money than they think they oOught to.

I was going to munch on the lo broccoli which was maily stalks (my favorite bits) while they guzzled yorkshire puddings. I am making a heart shaped yorkshire pud for dh ( well, tin is heart shaped, no idea what shape pud will be and parent will get a round one. Might have got a heart one if i had broccoli stalks!
    Time for a 2nd kitchen........

    That is romantic.

We are having roast loin of pork, with dauphinoise potato and mediterranean veg. Oh and HM sage & onion stuffing.

DD is having roast belly of pork with the stuffing and apple sauce in bread rolls as she wanted 'hog roast'. Feeling very mummyish.

For tea... guess what .... I had: the end of that salady stuff..... the end of the spud salad.... the end of the pizza.

So, for tomorrow that means an egg, some cheese and 'pockets', which is a pack of bread variant I bought, like halved pittas you just shove food into and eat. I've got 4 of those to eat by Tuesday.... and another 4 still frozen.

2nd day of his course. Cruising up the main channel of the Hamble this afternoon and the couple in a passing yacht gave him a wave and yelled "Hello Mr S". Another close colleague and his wife.

His boat also gave a tow to a broken down boat.

He has passed and has his licence though.

I love dauphinoise potato. Yum yum yum. And Boulangere ones, which we have more often, ( the old waistline issue :() but nothing is as good as creamy food.

We had roast beef last night, well, pot roast brisket, but no Yorkshire pudding, just a fairly 'elegant' veggies androast pots. Tonight its being served less elegantly with the yorkshires, braised celery and roast potato, parnisp and onion. The gravy has been jugched. ( i have no idea how to spell that sound of word) up with some redcurrent and port.

Same pudding too, lemon tart, but tonight am serving with some blackberries and a blackberry coulis.

Parent is about to have left over fest. :D.

I get....braised celery and some black berries.

OH has never thrown anything at me as far as I can recall and I am definitely an AH. She just washes my passport instead.

My OH once hit me over the head with her stiletto heel because I wasn't religious enough. For any zealots thinking of trying this, it doesn't work, I'm afraid.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
