    Loving the Olympics too....

I went to the woman's football at hampden park, Glasgow and watched USA V's France. It was a cracking game and I loved it. That was the day that North Korea took offence to the wrong flag being displayed but I had left by then (along with thousands). From what I hear the ground was almost empty for the second match.

I have had the Olympics on TV all week without a break :embarasse

There are 24 Olympic channels on Freesat but very few on Freeview. Luckely my TV shows both so It's been permanently on Freesat :D

Loving the Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis and Judo amongst other things.

Hope Murray wins the Tennis and he did great today.

My stand out favs so far are... Lisiki Tennis, Gioli Vollyball and Jackson Basketball. :A

This Sky malarky's wasted on me.... all I am doing is pressing the up/down channel button and randomly finding programmes that are watchable .... there's probably some guide on it somewhere where I can see/choose all programmes. I've no idea of the extent of the channels available at all.... but boy I've watched some right !!!! as it's a pain to keep having to find something new to watch.

Wasted I say ..... I'd have been happy with 4 channels.

Our control has a button saying 'TV Guide' which lists everything and you scroll sideways to see what's on later. You can select and record stuff for another time (and ad-free).
It's a decade since we had sky so I can't remember the buttons. Once you learn the colours though it gets easier :)

Let's look at houses instead (within budget). Much more fun

But I'll get sad as I can't afford the ones you'd be picking :)

Did see something that looks "nice enough" today, while its postcode is acceptable, it's location is at the edge, near to the "no no" estate and 3 miles inland though :( - oh and it's probably £20k more than I have.

You know the first two letters of the postcode... I'm then looking at 14 and 15 (can't afford 13). Absolutely NO flats ... must have a garage.... must be newish (up to 20 years).

Then, on the wishlist, theres: en-suite, west-facing garden, more off road parking.

The next list down would have conservatory, summerhouse and water view .... but that puts them out of my price range :)

I am happy with having Para tickets as I only wanted to scope out the stadium and park really...and I was curious to see what they have done in Greenwich park hence then booking my bargain para/equestrian tickets.
I have since found out UK win lots of golds in Para and we 'll get to see the mens running (on the prosthetic legs) so we may even get to singalong the NA too.

I am really excited about the Paras too. There's no cheap tix at the moment but its worth looking out for opening and closing (we booked these early doors). The budget for all four opening and closing ceremonies is £80m, of which £27m was spent on the opening, so there's plenty of money left for big spectaculars.

..I'll have a look tomo. Still worth registering with agents though if a house comes on with the 3D's attched to it. Some never make it to RM as sold prior.
Quick sale, cash buyer, no messing and you're in :)

You'll have to tell us what your budget is, and then we promise not to be all Phil-and-Kirsty-budget-ignoring but to stick to things under your max price.

Out of interest, why do you prefer houses that are less than 20 years old? I'm not saying you shouldn't feel that way - I'm partly trying to get a better handle on what's important to you and partly just curious.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

DD2 was living in 14 last year. Bit of a curate's egg IMO.

She was on one of the roads like mini San Francisco, about half way down the dip. Doing a 90 degree reverse into her drive in a 3.5 tonne van was an interesting experience!
