So,i have found a horse i might buy. Its totally not what we were looking for. Its even the wrong sex. It has dodgy forelegs (runs like a camp dancer, which sounds funny but puts a lot of strain on the knees) . Also its not very deep through the body, so dh would have to adjust from an overly deep horse for his leg to the opposite extreme. Both doable, neither ideal. But it has a gorgeous face and is rhe colour of hope and joy.

Hey doozer, how are you? I hear the doozerdog two is fab. :)

He's lovely :) very loving and well behaved in almost all areas. I think he has coped with the changes really well, better than Doozerdog initially, so I hope that's a sign of things to come.

A bit of small dog syndrome out of the house but this has improved oldramatically over the week as we've socialised and I haven't treated him like a lapdog. I find that Doozerdog is less friendly on the lead than off it, I guess because he is restricted, and Twoozerdog is not allowed off the lead yet.

Poor thing is very bothered by his stitches and I feel a bit guilty for subjecting him to a big operation so quickly. We have steroids, which seem to ease it.

He got his head stuck in a crisp packet earlier, which he couldn't get off because of the buster collar, so he was wandering into walls :o

Belgium got one bronze, so that's a succesful Olympics for team B. :D

Is there a sport that is specifically Belgian, that virtually nobody else plays? Get that added to the Olympics and you have a guaranteed Gold. Shame there's no Olympic cricket, for example.

Is it just me or does that tweet to Tom Daley look more insensitive than illegal?

It's not just you... "You let your dad down i hope you know that."

Assuming it's an arrest under the Malicious Communications Act 1988:

"Any person who sends to another person ... a letter, electronic
communication or article of any description which conveys a message which is
indecent or grossly offensive ... is guilty of an offence if his purpose, or
one of his purposes, in sending it is that it should ... cause distress or
anxiety to the recipient or to any other person to whom he intends that it
or its contents or nature should be communicated"

Is that grossly offensive? Not in my book, but maybe some magistrate will think so.

Presumably, the police are now grilling the tweeter to find out whether he intended to cause distress. If he has the sense to keep his mouth shut until he has a solicitor, there is little chance of that being proved.

Of course, this may not be the only unpleasant tweet he has sent.

Edit: He did apparently say a lot more - http://archbishop-cranmer.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/rileyy69-aka-reece-of-weymouth-and.html

    Yes! Vinkensport. (finch sport)

Basically, each contestant brings his/her finch in a wooden box and whenever your bird tweets, you chalk a white line on a wooden stick. The one with the most lines after an hour, wins.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vinkensport

Jacques Rogge, being Belgian, should introduce this sport ASAP to the Olympic program. :)

Both my wife and I woke up this morning at 5AM and did not get back to sleep. We were woken by DS getting back from his driving job - he had done a 15 hour day and then come home on the night bus. When I pointed out that this must have been hard work, he said that he had spent 5 hours of that watching the beach volleyball.

It is, because Tom's dad had been his trainer and constant companion for years - and after his dad died last year he vowed to get to the Olympics in memory of his dad.... and as he has further individual events still to come, being in the pressure cooker of the Olympics ... it was offensive and potentially off-putting/distressing etc etc.

He must have felt sick to his stomach when he read it.
