Me. Unless its awful. Dh said he heard that they were jumping on nhs beds. Which seems a bit of a terrible thing to do to good beds when we have an overstretched nhs. Anyway, he says he is not thiat bothered and will put the chickens in later so i can watch it all if i want to.0 -

I opened my bank account in about 1989/90 and it was a Britannia. They then got taken over by the CoOp and the branch I used (rarely) closed.... and for the past 20 odd years I've not had a branch within 100 miles of me so it's never been something I've needed to do. I also don't even know if I have a cheque book as I don't use cheques. I do everything with debit cards and cash
I hadn't expected to need so much, so soon, so close together; the 2nd woman said to me today "need a deposit, I've had friends who have been let down", which I didn't expect.
I'll go out in about 20-30 minutes, get the first tranche, then pay deposit on the first place at 7 tonight.
As it's cash, it's sensible to get a receipt. Type/write one out beforehand and take it along. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Citibank used to let me take out £1k per day but they stopped that and now they have started charging for foreign currency bank accounts to. Pretty soon I won't bank with them at all. Fortunately between DW and self we probably have about 15 current accounts so if we needed to take out a lot of cash we could. The people behind you at the cashpoint get a bit fed up when you take 5k out on a dozen cards...I think....0

Olympics. Pre show starts at 20:12, the show itself starts at 9pm. I'm not sure if DH will be coming home, as at KFC he bumped into the Swedish volleyball team...
He's now in the stadium and quote "sitting directly above a bl**dy big bell". Apparently the Danish flag is above his head and there's some silver thing at his feet which is going to come into play at some point. He's in the absolute top row, but it was a £20.12 ticket. He says the view is fantastic though and much better than for those people currently hidden behind a tree... Even though he has a good view of the whole stadium, he still hasn't managed to work out where the cauldron will be lit. Am therefore hoping he gets home a) sober, b) before 4am and c) with eyebrows intact if near said flame. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? alternatively he can just stay in stratford and get smashed, and then get the last tube home arriving in stanmore at 3am! that's what i would do.
It's looking like the Javelin is the best option. He used it to get there and managed it in an hour, not door to door but station to station, which is still really good. Am hoping for a pick-up before 3am in order that I can get four hours sleep before going to work. Next favourite is the Jub line.
