    Only both ferkin sides!!!!!
    Yes, yes, yes.
omg omg I know what it's like there. Wonder if they have a boat too....y'know, for the lodgers to borrow if their mates come down for the day...or a spare jetski.:)
    There is a fox outside.

Near cottoneye jojo, cheeky, artila and the babies. This is NOT cute.big dog and dog dog are 'working' and pink whistley (who was uncharacteristically not heard over the weekend) is sitting on the top of the roof swearing at them all. If that fox minds a feline expletive he will not be back.

do you have a hose set up? Reckon a shot with a hose would see him off quick.
    dumb townie question...'working'?
Working at what this time of night?

No guns, missiles, sniper fire, guards, permits or nuisance where I am :)

I could add to the list the stuff that's normally here .......like a double combo of suburban misery.

Ah ... you're thinking of the people who live about a further 3-4 doors down the road.... I'd be close... but not THAT close (yet..... give me time to work my way further down the road)....

Bottom line is .... it's a better address than being at: Tiny Flatlet 1B, Druggie Alley, Cheap Seats Road, Scumsville..... on the other side of town. Everybody's been saying in hushed tones "don't go to .... it's bad along there".

Anyway .... I might not be liked on Thursday :)

Working at being hounds near a fox. They might not be fox hounds, but they are hounds nonetheless. There is no way they can catch the fox here, the surroundings are tipped towards fox success. The dogs are faster, on open country side, but they cannot leap gates like the fox, or go under fences, and frankly they are not as bright, certainly not in a heated moment, as a fox, but they instinctively'work' as hounds within their limitations.

Would it help if your chooks were in a pen inside a pen? So a bigger wire cage round their current home.... then connect that one up to the electric fence wiring :)

The foxes locally have caused havoc with the olympic site is it was their territory. Can't recall if I already posted about this but they called in the exterminator (a public sector one :) not an Arnie type).

There are a lot less around this year. Our local vixen had 3 cubs and only one remains as the cars got the other 2. The big male died and I saw him the night he was run over and limping/ grazed and badly injured. Never saw him again.
However our cats ignore them totally and vice versa....the foxes ignore the cats. Your cat must know she is a danger to her territory.

It would help for the fox, they wouln't be very free range then though ;). Its what a lot of free rangers do though. My chhoks tend to fly over electric.

There are foxes and badgers to be seen from my window here most nights, allegedly..... I've never bothered to look. As the rear is mostly 100' trees and an abyss.... they must be within 10-20' to be seen at all.

    Sadly Dad passed away.

I'm really very sorry to hear that, silvercar.
We know they are !!!!! cats, but others do not. And frankly, i don't think big dog can be trusted not to steal everyone's picnic:eek:

:o Doozerdog did that yesterday in the park. We were walking near to a family on our way back and he helped himself to two pancakes and a jam roly-poly. Thankfully the lady was a dog owner herself and couldn't stop laughing at me chasing him away. To be fair to the dog, it was dinnertime.

I'm in trouble with DH. There is a small dog curled up by the bottom of DS's bed. So far, the small dog has been angelic, far better behaved than Doozerdog who broke into the food cupboard, ate small dog's food and then puked on the sofa. He also broke into the spare room and peed on the bed at some point in the day before any small dogs arrived.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
