PN you know about dodgy websites (
) Would you buy from these guys factorprices.com?
Sportsday tomorrow is cancelled(so I have no excuse not to come to work)
Our architect was a similar price (about 1k I think) but it was just for the extension not 2 new properties plus our locally planning department is hugely more expensive than that I seem to remember.
The plans I had drawn myself would probably have almost been suitable but I wanted to go with a local architect who had had lots of smilar local work passed before (you can look this up on the local planning website)I think....0 -

This morning I used the washing machine .... on the basis there's a tumble drier. I kept checking the washing, for when it'd finished.... but my "slot" was trumped by the LL who took my washing out of the machine when it was done and put it in a basket... and somehow the LL had drying of their own that needed to be done. (Not sure how that happens if you've not just washed stuff). So ... I waited for my "slot" at the drier. And finally .... I got my slot, about 2pm. And the stuff's still not dry. Taken a few light items out of the drier, but the rest still need quite a while. How annoying. I thought if I got my washing in pre-9am I'd have been out the door by 11am. Not so! And it was sunny/dry today.0

GOT MY APPT. tomorrow morning and in a city nearest me.
What a relief!
I asked whether all the cool cats are wearing fowns or tracksuits for private mri scans these days and apparantly its comfortable loose clothing, which i guess is Bupa for tracksuit.
I happen to know all my tracksuits are in 'post winter' condition, so going to rummage through them to wash the least dreadful one.
I had forgotten that question about if you have metal in your eyes. I have no idea for what reason people have metal in their eyes. The only thing i can think of is an acxident. In wiphich case i don't know. So i answered 'not to my knowledge' which always sounds like something a consipiracy rheorist would say...like the reptilian people might have snuck in at the night time to put a metal filing in ones eye, i guess to track ones movements. Anyway, on that note, i supoose it rules out sparkley eyeshadow too. Just as well, sparkely eyeshadow and 'loose comfortable clothing' really don't go together.0 -

It's nice to have things over and done with quickly.0 -
Not getting anywhere with this renting malarky. I think I need to up the budget by another £100 .... getting into the realms of silly money now....
One agent said that there's rarely parking for studios or 1-beds; they give the parking to the 2-bed flats. So I am trying to enter a restricted market, with restricted funds.
And, I don't get a phone signal here ... nor a broadband one... so it's not easy to get hold of people - and when they phone me I have to stick my head out of the window and am then leaning precariously over stuff (as I answer in a hurry) and am not in a position to reach the PC or take notes.
All I want is the impossible.... why can't I find it?
I could rent two 3-bedroom council houses for the cost of a "nothing special" flat here!
Gonna have to buy quicker than I expected if this keeps up.0 -

Excellent news.
I would love it if you had actually used the phrase 'cool cats'.
Wish I had not just looked up 'metal in eye' on google (was curious), but yes I think its more if you have fragments after an accident as the metal can move which would be particularly  if it was in your eye. I'm not generally too squeamish, but ever since having dissected cows eyes in A level biology, thinking about things in eyes makes me feel funny!0 -
