we used to go to cornwall for a week every easter, to stay in the same cottage in a village called perranuthnoe. loved it there, sleepy place, short walk down to the beach, fish and chips in various different villages along the coast pretty much every night, not ridiculously busy. i went down there 2 years ago to poke my nose about, it was horrendous. it was in august which obviously made it worse - but parking was £20, and the whole place looked like some kind of horrendous cornish version of the nottinghill carnival. i beat a hasty retreat without bothering to stop!0

My parents upgraded to a trailer tent in the early 80's, so the car was a little emptier...I was then given their tent for my 18th birthday and me and now ex hubby used it for our holidays every year upto and including 1993 and then the once in 2002 by which time my parents had upgraded to a little tourer caravan and then a static caravan near Great Yarmouth.
We started off camping in Devon, then Somerset, two years in Cornwall and finally we discovered Dorset, going there from 1982 until 2002. I even got engaged on stage in Dorset, conceived youngest son there and they saw me grow from an awkward pre teen to a mum of 3.
Ex husband has started going back to the site now, bit annoying as we all want to start going back too and if we had gone through with it last year, we would have all been on holiday at the same time and at the same site!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
How do you find out where you are in the posters list, I can order it by number of posts, but are you trawling through page after page.
Is there a way of finding out the number of posts people have made on a particular thread?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Yep. Near the top of the page, under the multicoloured band below Martin's image there's a series of links to the forums such as Debate; House Prices ...etc.
Click on it and the lsit of threads pops up. The 4th or 5th column (headed "Replies") is a list of link- numbers of the number of posts.
Click on that and a popup shows how many posts each poster has made there. :j
By the time you answer this, we'll both be 7th equal with 138 postsThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
It's rained... and rained. Then it rained. Soggy getting out of the field..... and back in.
However ... I think I am ahead of the game. Boxed up some of the stuff that went into storage as "pfft... just put it in loose, it'll be OK".... AND .... the big bonus, found an affordable van service and booked him for 3 days' time to take my stuff East.....
So ... he wanted to know where it's to go to.... I've no idea yet. That's next on my list of things to do.0 -

No... every day down here gets more expensive to stay ... and I'm kicking around...
Anyway - organised bigger store in the East... so now to let the man know the postcode of that.
