My home phone just rung, answered it and it started ringing, rang 4-5x then did the "dead line" sound.

Did 1471 "Do not have the caller's number"

How annoying. Glad my old wasn't living here to receive that.

Cannot understand why they are showing stourhead for this episode. Lacock would have made more sense, or bowood. I used to walk with dog dog around stourhead off season when dogs are allowed, Its a great place to wa
J or run, because their are no pot holes and its an easy tound toute?..round route even

Plus net won't talk to me as i am not dh.

    Grr.

    We will call tomorrow.

Then only people who seem willing to talk to other members of the household are GPS. I often phone the surgery for OH and they just ask if I have his permission to phone.

ugh, stupid nhs gp. i called for some blood test results as my gp was too busy to give me an appointment and now she's not in and she will call me back tomorrow.

the receptionist thinks i'm a lowly minion and says that I shouldn't worry as it's a "normal" blood test. Of course I know what the blood test is and what it's for, it's my test! So of course, I will now wait until tomorrow for one blood test results. No other service provider iwould behave like this and get away with it. (rant over)

Last week I phone the GP surgery for some more of the meds I left hospital with. I only needed to speak to the GP to get the prescription. Receptionist wouldn't allow it - they don't offer that service. So I said I would need a home visit which would take far more of the GPs time. Apparently that wouldn't be possible either. Snooty cow said I really shouldn't be bothering them and should see my consultant! Phoned the pharmacy who do a prescription collection service and he sorted it :)

I just wanted to share the following with you that I found on USENET. For those who are offended by large numbers of exclamation marks, now is the time to look away.

"I witnessed a council worker who got annoyed when a
petrol mower would not start. He angrilly pulled the starting rope so
hard the whole mechanism pulled off. His boss noticed something was
obviously wrong and asked him what had happened. "The !!!!ing !!!!er
wouldn't !!!!ing start and now the !!!!ing !!!!er's really !!!!ed" was
    the reply."
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Random question, thought by me while watching telly: When you get divorced, do you get paperwork you keep? Should you hold onto this in case in the future you're asked to prove you're divorced? If you get remarried you'd presumably need some paperwork - so could you potentially then lose the one original copy you had? I've found no divorce papers while looking through and sorting out all the paperwork and the old was previously divorced.
