Grandparents would be 109 and 114
Mama is 79
We are 44 and 45
Westie is 1.5
When p and m are watching “Madmen”, it’s proper nostalgia for them!
Dog, like Westie is 1.5.
Wheezy, did you buy yours in London?
and then I thought that we had persuaded you that you didn't need a wireless toothbrush as others switched off after 2 minutes, so you didn't need a separate digital display to tell you when the time was up.
I mean it would be so posh to have a toothbrush with digital display. but if you want to spend an extra £50 on it.....
Bluetooth toothbrush? I remember this from some time ago ont this very thread! :rotfl:

It sends feedback to a little device on the wall that smiles at you and tells you when to change quarter and when you've finished cleaning. It all feels very Pavlovian, as well as making the TV fuzzy. As you can probably tell, I think it's a total waste of time and money. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? On inheritance, I haven't got a clue what provision the parents and in-laws have made, would rather they live long and spend it on themselves. In practical terms, the olds are aged 69-74; my generation are aged 39-48 and the little ones are 5-22. I suspect the best way would be to miss our lot out and pass any inheritance to the little ones.0

Oh, the age thing....
My grandparents would be 107-130. They died 20-60 years ago) No inheritance, no property.
Parents 80-90 (well, they were when there were 2 of them). One modest house.
Us 50-60. Two house owners ... and me
Dad spat venom when his sister left her £500k estate to the local odd job man.... and suspected all was not right there. I told him ... "Well, you never visited her.... and it was her money". He said "money should go to family". I said "whatever".....0 -

It'd be about 200 miles from where I plan on being though. If I'd planned better I should have got you to buy a nice little flatlet where I DO want to be
On a 6 year AST, so. Don't have to tell the mortgage company💙💛 💔0 -

i thought you were buying her a flat, not buying a flat to rent to her.
pn my advice is to stop paying the rent instantly and say you'll start using the floor as a toilet if he attempts to evict!0 -

The way I look at it now, none of it is my money or ever has been; there is no entitlement to it. It is for the people who currently own that money to decide how to spend it, and if they decide to spend it by giving it to you that's great, but if not, well that's up to them. I certainly wouldn't feel obliged to give cash to someone (or save it so it passed to them) just because that's what was "expected", so why should I expect to receive. I try to encourage my parents to spend the money on themselves, go on some proper, expensive holidays, buy a luxury car instead of the crapbag they drive around etc.
Sibling has an entirely different view and is funnily enough an 'academic' who went on a year teaching English abroad to school kids and is still doing it 15 years later. She has never bothered to advance her career because she thinks she doesn't need to- everything will be provided for apparently.
I knew i liked you.
Tbh, I do also think fil is a prat (there was some fraud involved in him ending up with what was the kids') but otherwise i feel exactly the same as you.0 -
I woke up happy in the sun, then got a migraine half way through doing critters, finished them crawled back to bed. Only waking up sgain now.0
