Galaxy S3 pre-order with Three Mobile
Hi folks.
Pre-ordered a Samsung Galaxy S3 in marble white (as the blue has sold out pretty much everywhere!!) on the one contract for 34 quid a month. Applied at around 5pm yesterday and still not received any more information?? Is this usually the case with three? It's the first time I've gone with them, has anyone else been subject to a days delay to get a decision?? Or is there a reason for this? I am tempted to call them but thought I'd ask on here first.
Thanks in advance. :T

Surely they wouldn't let me order them if they didn't have them in stock, plus on my first email after placing the order, the delivery date is down for 30th May, tomorrow..
Either way, I still haven't had a reply wether the credit check was successful or not? For it to take over a day seems pretty long windedWho are you to judge the life I live? visit your local store tomorrow do a creditcheck there and they can give you an instant answer.
MIght even be able to get the phone without waiting as well, as people wonder why all our high streets are closing !!0 -

All phone companies have been taking overs for the last three weeks or so without having stock or any real idea of how much stock they where getting so yes they would let you order. As for the delay it's probably just a stalling tactic until more stock arrives with the phones now only being available in one colour lots of people that ordered the blue are switching to white and due to ordering weeks ago will with most companies be getting first chance to get them.0 -
its not stalling tactics ,its samsung thats nessed up,they were told they would have stock for x number in white and blue
even the samsung shop has blue but they cannot sell them ,they have to send them back because off fault

Hey United66,
I ordered from three at about 11am yesterday, my order for a 16gb white S3 was accepted on the phone, paid £1.95 for credit check and then heard nothing from them all day. No confirmation email or text or anything! I am quite worried but I hope we both get ours delivered today! fingers crossed! Please keep us updated though! I'll let you know if I hear anything.0 -

Bearing in mind most of the phone sellers where expecting some sort of deliveries of blue and constantly told customers upto yesterday that blue would be available. If they took pre orders upto the inital agreed launch day delivery amounts say 1000 white and 800 blue then had to start switching customers that wanted to switch over to white say 50% of them did, they have to find another 400 white which means stalling some until the next delivery comes in.0 -

agree with you but samsung started it off
and remember its a bank holiday next week too, which means it will be loner too, say next friday they might get some morethere or their, one day i might us the right one ,until then tuff0 -
I understand all the replies, but surely stalling tactics isn't exactly a professional way to handle someones order? I understand also that the original email confirming the order is automated, but so is the credit check email saying it's ok/not ok, so why should it take so long? Even a reply saying there are delay's because of 'x' reason would be sufficient. But nothing at all is a bit of a joke? I don't really want to ring, and e-mailing is a bit pointless as they probably won't reply for 342 days. Email support blows.Who are you to judge the life I live? i am also interested in this phone, i have seen a post where you can get a £10 per mth sim only deal with three, you get £100 cashback via a popular cashback site (so £20 for a 12 mth contract. then you could buy the phone on a credit card and spread the costs. this is cheaper, and a possibly way i am thinking of going. (though i have never brought a phone this way and not sure of the implications of buying on a credit card and paying back each mth - if you have a card with 0% your going to be saving)
this means you are not tied in for 24 mths, so you can upgrade sooner, sell the s3 and pay off theremaining credit
i think you have to act soon to get the £100 cashback though.0
