Problems with Java - cannot log into Northern Bank

I completed that entire list last night but to no avail.

For Java version 6.0 and above:

1. Double-click the icon to open Java Control Panel.
2. In Java Control Panel, click the Advanced tab.
3. Click on + icon next to Default Java for browsers.
4. Make sure the box next to Internet Explorer or Mozilla is checked.
5. If it is not checked, click the checkbox to enable Java for your Web browser.
6. Click Apply.

When I complete point 4 Internet Explorer is greyed out although it is ticked.

My Windows Internet Explorer says it is 256bit.

I don't know what I have just done but it has just loaded the Northern Bank page! I am going to check to see if I can get it to load again!

It did load again but it doesn't seem to be working on all sites! I still don't know what is wrong with it!
