Another NSD for me today :j
Just watching some tennis whilst the (homegrown thanks to the OH's parents) lamb is in the oven. Its so yummy I hardly ever eat lamb from the supermarket cos it never tastes as good. Its free too! Even better
Kept my head down at work today, my boss is still being grumpy but at least he didn't snap. I've decided to talk to one of the other partners who I get on with, not necessarily to "snitch" but for a bit of advice.
Thought I was doing so well with my ebaying but someone has opened a case against me because they haven't received the item they bought. Thankfully I send everything recorded delivery and I have proof of postage. According to Royal Mail it has been delivered (last Wednesday!) so I'm not going to refund the money until Ebay/Royal Mail get back to me. I know Ebay always favours the buyer so I hope I dont lose my money...or have to claim compensation etc. I just wish she hadnt opened a case against me until Royal Mail had got back to me/her because now my paypal account is frozen.
3 more days in the office and then I'm off to Silverstone :j:j:j just need to remember my wellies! xTotal: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
Sorry to hear your trial shift got cancelled (eek I bet you're glad you weren't there!!) have they given you another date?
I've been to Silverstone a few times (not for GP though) and we were allowed to take our own food
Mum & Dad went a few years ago, I can ask if they were allowed if you like?
Try not to worry about the cost though, it's not something you get to do everyday so just enjoy it. You'll have your MSE head anyway so I bet you won't be spending loads
I'll be keeping my eye out for youI was supposed to be at work on Sunday but they needed someone to go in Friday so I volunteered and got the Sunday off
Grrr I hate that with ebay it really makes what can be a good thing seem like a bit of a hassle. Hopefully as you can prove it was delivered they'll back down and PP& Ebay will side with you. I always send recorded in case of this too.
Hope you have a good day, did you manage to talk to the other partner?LBM 24/05/2012 :TAugust NSD 10/12 * £2 savers0 -
It was right by the shop as well. Very scary! Not heard anything recently, I was kind of hoping they would have called by now esp. as the first interview went so well.
After a bit of research I found out we can take our own food and [STRIKE]booze[/STRIKE] drink into the campsite which is ideal. You're right about not worrying about it all because I know I wont go nuts spending wise and it is a one off so I shouldn't lose sleep if I buy a hotdog! In a way I'm actually happy I'm worried, it shows my way of thinking is changing and Im not just spending without checking to see if I can afford it.
I've got to wait a week now with ebay but as you say I have proof of everything so I should be ok. Its only £10 but still, Im not made of money and its the principle of the whole thing.
Not managed to talk to anyone yet, they're all off out on a boozy afternoon/evening session (partners only, of course!) so I'll have to wait till tomorrow. I still dont really know what to say.Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
That's good you'll be able to save a bit with taking your own food in

OMG. THE RAIN. THE MUD! I am a broken person!
Ive never seen anything like it, it was absolute carnage! I had a brilliant time though, the race was great and we saw loads action because the track was so wet.
We got there on Thursday so we didnt have any problems getting in, but I feel so sorry for the people that were turned away, I really hope they get refunded.
We even got a sneaky tour of the pits and the paddock. I had to giggle because there was lots of really rich people and celebs there and then me in my pac a mac and muddy wellies! :rotfl:

Hi Badger!
Not been on here very much recently, works busy and Ive been out and about lots. Not very MSE unfortunately but at least I have paid all my DDs and overpaid a bit this month. I'll have to work harder in August me thinks!
The ebaying has dried up too so I must get on to that.
I have £30 to last until 24th. And I'm going to France from Friday to Monday...I really dont know how Im going to afford it.
Feeling a bit down in the dumps at the mo, work is really getting me down and my relationship seems to be struggling too. Im sure its just everything else thats going on in my life but I feel like Ive run out of my passion for everything (OH included..thats sounds harsh I know)
I'd like to run away from it all.:(
