Every Penny counts! Pun intended!

Good luck with the NSD today and well done with resisting the bacon sarnie, we have an M&S van visit work every morning, now I am a sucker for M&S foods at the best of times, and have been known to spend £7 on a snadwich, crisps and some fruit. But so far I have managed to resist since really starting with the debt busting. It's mad how all the little purchases add up.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your day.0 -
Thanks Becks. The free tea & coffee at work really helps with the no spending, and not buying soft drinks at lunch. I'm really determined to get my loan gone within 12 months so Im being completely ruthless.
It's shocking how much you can end up spending on lunch. M&S sandwiches regularly hit the £4 mark which when you think about what you get for your money its ridiculous!
Bought something from the T Value range yesterday, for the first time ever! I used to be a brand snob, but look where that got me!Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
Just looking in my purse for a phone number (not going mental, just had it on a piece of paper and put it in there!) and saw £45 just loitering there that I'd forgotten all about! (This never happens!) It was the cash my mum owed me from the duty free ciggies I bought her. Just shows how little I am using my purse these days.

Woooo! My first NSD! I hope it is the first of many.
And I got a scrummy (&paid for) meal with the OH's parents. Full too the brim!
Need to do a bit of a ebay search tonight (how is it this late already?!) as even though Ive put 2 books on amazon you never know if things will ever sell on there so I've got to exploit all other options. I need to keep pushing to get that £8.45 a day for the June 2013. Its a bit daunting...Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
Well done on your NSD from me :T and...0

Thanks to the both of you, you are too kind!!
Apparently around the corner from my OH's office is a big car expo and a one of JB's Brawn helmets is up for sale.. Methinks my DFW budget might not cover it... The expo itself is free so I might just have a wonder down see if there is anything else JB related I can drool over!
Obsessed doesnt even cover it!Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
Was hoping for another NSD but I've got to go to the opticians tonight as Im actually quite blind and these headaches are getting worse
At least I can claim the cost of the test back because I use a computer all day.
I was feeling a bit better today and then I spoke to Vanquis - Ive being trying to pay off my credit card online and it wasnt clearing depsite having the funds in the account. I finally got through to them today to say there was an error updating my address when I moved and so the payments were declined because the address on my debit card didnt match. There was no error message, no phone call to let me know, and in the mean time, they've charged me interest so Ive had to pay an extra £72 on top.:mad: I cant wait until the money clears (they have right address now) and I can close the account for good.
Also, my boss is on holiday, but he emailed me at 5:17am() this morning asking for someone's number. I forgot about it and he just emailed again now to b'llck me for not replying straight away. I apologised, but now I'm wishing I'd said something, he cant expect me to read/reply to emails at that hour, even if it was urgent. He drives me insane.
Some good news though, a recruitment agent rang me about a job which is perfect for me and it looks like I have all the right experience for. The pay and benefits are good too, so fingers crossed for that. :T
Still fuming about my boss. He wont ever think he's done anything wrong either.Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
Been put forward the new job!:j
It would be working for a much bigger company and the pay/benefits would make my DFW tasks much easier for one thing. Its a bit of a commute, but I'm used to that living in London. They are looking for someone with pretty much identical experience to me so Im really hopeful :j
If I did get it, I'll miss lots of people here, but I cant cope with how my boss makes me feel any more. I hate crying over work cos it seems so silly when you look back, but when Im already feeling pretty low, it doesnt help.
Maybe a change is just what I need..Total: £50,676 £0 🥳 The journey to debt freedom0 -
That's great :j I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :T
