Hope everything goes OK, they usually dip them under with quite a light anaesthetic. Fingers crossed for you all.

Thanks everyone. Unfortunatly pup 10 was already dead and very stuck when they opened her up, I think the sack got broken when they was trying to get him out, it's sad to lose any, but Kizzy was my main concern. I feel very blessed to have her well and 9 beautiful puppies, all doing well.

Gettingready how's your girl? Did she have to stay in the vets?

P.s Not that the cost matters but just if any one is thinking of breeding their dog, be prepared to pay for a c-section which just cost me nearly £1000, and be prepared to have to pay that and you still may not have any puppies. I am a worrier and always expect the worst to happen so I was prepared for anything that could of happened, not great for money saving as I now have a load of things I don't need.

Oh forgot to say I asked if they could neuter Kizzy while they did the c section but she wanted the op to be as quick as possible as the pups could of quickly became ill without having milk for so long. Kizzy will not be bred from again, even though you are allowed to bred again after 1 c section and she isn't likely to need another 1 as the pup was the problem not Kizzy's body. I will not take the risk as I know the risks in humans, the scars can tear ect. With such big litters there would be so much pressure i really don't know why anyone would take the risk and why the kennel club will allow 2 c-sections.
