Hi everyone
Am looking at moving my photos off the hard drive of laptop onto a USB drive or one of the sd cards, both seem around the same kind of price of £15 ish for 32 GB, is one better than the other,
The netbook obviously has USB and a sd card slot so I would be happy with either but wondered if there was any advantage to using one over the other
Cheers

A USB stick is more likely to survive a trip through the washing machine.

Good point.... But to be fair it's probably going to be used to download the photos onto, placed in an envelope in a drawer until the next time wife decides she really does want more photos ordering

Any other factors to take into account?

USB sockets are considerably more common even on smaller devices.

....never to be seen or found again!
How do I add a signature?

32GB sounds big (it is big) but it's not infinite, and modern cameras taking high resolution high res images (and only going to get bigger) you may want to look at some kind of external USB hard drive?

I'd second an external hard-drive. I have a 500gb portable hard-drive which everything is backed up onto. It also means that if I am away from home, I don't have to take my laptop, provided I have access to another computer, I just plug the portable HD in, and off I go.

The cost is not that significantly different compared to the difference in storage space. Have a look on amazon.

You can get 64GB for only a few pounds more; I recently bought myself a USB 3.0 stick for forty quid.

Wouldn't it be safer to use C Cleaner?

Although I've yet to see a tablet with a full sized USB port. It's the main reason I've never bought one.

Some TVs have a USB slot for photos, music etc. you haven't said how many photos you have, 32gb is a lot of photos.

Size means little here; if the device can act as a USB host you can plug things into it using the appropriate cable.
