Looks like they are complying with T&Cs (but 'doing the minimum'...).
32b lets them reduce rates (competitors reducing their rates), 66 gives any (or all) of 4 ways to 'notity you' - only one of these involves writing to you.
Anyway - good spot Mr Very.
Yes, 66 (and 65) are general get-out clauses - - and they claim they have given "at least 14 days" notice because apparently they told the Press today. Disgusting.0 -

You don't make sense. I assume you mean "When the government takes an amount appropriate to your current tax band". The bank doesn't take anything.
and I'm saving because it's money I'm not spending, and I don't see the point of just buying crap I don't want just for the sake of it or giving it all away when I've earned it.
I'll withdraw some of it into my Halifax 2.8% account on the 17th.0 -

Seems I'm 'stuck' with this as the next highest easy access is 2.25%.
Guess I'll be opening one of those up soon before the bonus rate disappears from the PO one too!
PS on the notice period - I did a quick google and couldnt see what the legalities are on this sort of thing. Am sure other forumites will know.
And this (Northern Counties) looks as if has been withdrawn (even though its on the Best Buy page).

Will you tell me when interest rates change?
We are committed to keeping our savers informed about our interest rates. When we change interest rates we will update our website.0 -
My mother and DS1 both have one of these accounts. Any tips as to where they can move their savings to either fixed term or instant access?
ThanksThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Finally had an email just now, advising of the rate drop this Thursday.0

Me too, and I agree. Only saving grace is you can't get 2.67 in an equivalent new account now.0 -
