Am VERY jealous - I would love my own hens to lay eggs for me. Let me know how you get on. I think a 7 year old would love a couple of hens for easter, and they'll save you money on eggs!

    HI
Thanks for the info, sorry my post was not very clear, I would love to get a few hens, my sister has them in spain , but i dont think our garden is big enough.
I am going to sponser one for my son and hopefully teach him a bit more about animal welfare issues.
Because he has been over to Spain and at my sis farm where they are all free range he just assumes all chickens are treated nicely.
    thanks anyway

  • ***i usually get aldi/lidl/netto ones from fasmily or kinnerton from woolies!

i buy mugs from charity shops and fill with fairtrade small bars/one big cheap lidl bar. and give a £2 dvd/book/clothes. (8 kids)

easter is a christian festival not a chocolate one!***

I agree that it isn't a choccy fest, but just to correct a few peeps on here, easter (as it is now known) and the tradition of giving gifts to symbolise new life (eggs) is a LOT older than 2000 years! It is a pagan celebration celebrating new life and new beginnings.

Did anyone see these? Only £1.69 yet are the same size as all the ruddy nestle ones they had in my local sainsburys yesterday - i thought it was quite genius that the actually removed all the useless packaging! So well done cadburys :T

I bought one of these from iceland £1.50 but it was smaller than the flake one i bought for £1 and there was only 2 mini eggs in it where as there were 2 flakes in the other egg, a little dissappointed but i helped save on packaging

I agree that to have no packaging is a great idea - but they were more expensive than the eggs I bought which also had two full size bars with them!

No doubt cadbury will say this is to make up for the money they loss from breakages.

Without the box to protect them more eggs will be broke in transit.
