I am not too bad this weekend. Totally gutted master bedroom. Have loads for the skip and for e-bay. Got all my clothes sorted out and the stuff that is actually in my main wardrobe is clean, ironed and fits me :-). My comp is driving me nuts though as I cant log onto e-bay to see how my sales are going. Going to post on the techie site next and see if anyone can help. Made soup, bread and pizza dough is resting at the moment. I used to hate cooking but now am enjoying it so much. Food is so much nicer than shop bought junk. Happy flying folks have a good week.xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

I'm back.
Had a thoroughly depressing weekend. Went to try my bridesmaids dress on for my friends wedding which is in 3 weeks time, and the dratted thing wouldn't fit. I had naively assumed that as i am the same weight as before baby, it would fit, but no chance. Not even of crash dieting as it was my bust that wouldn't behave, and there is no hope there. So, we have had to have a mad dash round the shops today to find something in a bigger size, with me feeling hugely guilty at the extra expense for my friend, plus the embarassment of my friend and her mum prodding and poking at me in dresses until i actually fit in one. So i am going to have to be very careful what i eat until afterwards, not that i go that mad as it is.
On the bright side, i found some nice silver shoes in next. There are loads of silver shoes for those of you looking, but not very sandal like.
I'm supposed to be having a dress fitting for my sisters bridesmaids dress tomorrow am, and i really do not want to go as i am feeling so fed up.
So, if i can get over all that trauma, this is what i want to do tomorrow:
Kitchen
1. Wipe down all worktops, cupboard doors, drawer fronts and windowsill.
2. Clean top of cooker, inside of fridge and microwave.
3. Clean sink, draining board and wash any plastic drainers/cutlery holders.
4. Sort out fridge make sure anything that needs using soon is at front
5. Clean washer drawer out
6. Clean kitchen window, light switches and light fitting
7. Clean oven if required, I know not everyone uses the oven a lot so leave that up to you
8. Wipe down all appliances, washer, freezer, slow cooker etc make sure all dust/grime free
9. Clean floor.
10. Wipe down skirting boards

Pack baby bag
Dress fitting with sister at 9:30am
Pick up baby food pot and spoon from sisters house
Make wedding invites
Wash load of baby clothes
Check airers/take off dry clothes
Do some ironing
Deal with post
Sort baby bottles
Unpack from weekend away
Put travel bags away
Make a meal plan for the week
Start making a shopping list for the weekend
A thoroughly fed up Michelle, x0 -

This sounds like you keep your ironing in the oven Scaredy
:rotfl: well only the bits on show are tidy and organised and i just shove anything else in where there is space0 -
Michelle Hugs to you
Surely knowing you were having a baby they would realise your shape would changeDon't start dieting though with a new baby you'll just end up even more tired and lack lustre. If it's your bust how about a control bra or sports bra that might help to keep things a bit more compact :rotfl:
Congrats on the silver shoes thoughMFiT Member No 85

i already had the corset on that i wore for my wedding. DH also thought it was stupid that she had bought a dress for me in the early stages of pregnancy, and then expected it to fit. Anyone know how to tone up the area where your bra sits at the side and back?
I am starting to wish i hadn't agreed to be her bridesmaid, which is absolutely awful.
I ended up having a bit of a cry to DH. I didn't even think my weight was a particular problem until this weekend, but it has really got to me.0 -

Big hugs to you Michelle. Your weight isn't a problem - you have a baby (only been on here a few weeks so not sure how old) and it is a fact of life that our bodies change. Mine has never been the same since my daughter was born 16 years ago. However, look what you have in return, which is much more important than some silly bridesmaids dress! My daughter or a toned body? My daughter, any time (well, most of the time)
Don't let this make you feel your weight is a porblem - if you are happy with your body it really doesn't matter whether it's the same size/shape as it was.
As for toning - I toned up that area with a weights programme but it was over a period of time and I think you can do without that pressure even if you did have months before the wedding. It also takes time, which is always at a premium with a baby.Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
Oh no! I feel behind already, wish I had looked here last night!!
Not happy today as my foot is all swollen and bruised and I thought it was getting better but over the weekend its got worse, (might be to do with gardening) so now even the pair of shoes I cut to make fit don't so doing school run in slippers (the shame) and then will have to try to find some shoes in town that will fit, so if you see a mad woman in slippers it may be me - please dont laugh!Always on the hunt for a bargain0
