Not sure if he'll have enough. He gets paid on 3rd August. He usually gets £2k wages and he was expecting a £3k bonus, but he's not sure what it is now as other people haven't received as much as last year.

He also has payday loans (yep, I said he was an idiot). I have told him a number of times to get a new bank account and get his wages paid into it so that he can pay the payday loans off gradually, but he says he doesn't want to screw up his credit rating (he doesn't understand that he already has a rubbish credit rating!!). So he is paying around £900 a month on these loans to roll them over etc.

Other than that, he pays around £180 on the guarantor loan that his parents have and around £300 a month to them for a mortgage they got for him to wipe out all his debts a few years ago. I'm guessing he won't be paying those this month!!

Really tired of the whole situation really :(.

    Oh Emz :(

I think you have to leave him to it really. You can explain and reason with someone as much as you like but sometimes they just won't listen.

As a lot of us know pre-LBM - sometimes you've got to fall, and fall hard, to realise that the situation needs dealing with.

I know, problem is it's now affecting me as he can't pay his half of the rent and bills.

Just wish he would grow up and sort his money out.

I think I have said this before sadly.
Your OH makes me so cross.
What does he actually do for you other than give you hassle.
    You deserve so much more.

OH's bonus letter still hasn't turned up.

We did a bit of reduced shopping in Asda last night. Spent £3.51 and got loads of stuff including a couple of packets of mince and sausage meat that I have stuck in the freezer. Today I'm going to attempt a pork stir fry with some meat we had in the freezer and a pack of veg we got for 20p.

Going shopping tomorrow for an outfit for my nephew to finish off his birthday present. I've got a £10 voucher to use in Matalan and some other places, so will see what I can get for that.

Think I'm going to have to face facts - I'm not a vegetable person. I ate the pork from that stir fry, but the veg wasn't for me. I think I'll stick to my usual carrots, peas and potatoes!!

Now tucking into a couple of ring donuts from a 15p pack of 5!! :D

Hi Emz, sorry for not posting.

I can understand where you are coming from with your OH, this is coming from someone who is paying all the bills as OH is still unemployed. I can understand your frustration.

My OH is the same he has a CC and should have gotten one with 0% by now but cos he is unemployed he can't get a loan or a CC so he is paying this massive interest rate.

But you have let them learn their lesson and if he doesn't then you can shout at him.

Maybe when he has paid this loan he can pay ALL the bills for a few months, just keep a note of what he owes you!

But you can do it, your such a strong determined lady x
