    Car is written off

My insurance value it at £3850 (got it in writing)

My insurer seemed to have used CAP, Glasses and Parkers to get the value and rounded to the nearest £50.

Cause my sums said £3877 average

    scrappage people are paying £423

Then my insurers is going to approach his insurance for the rest.

What happens if his insurer take the mick and offer much less?

Are you claiming off your own Insurance eg paying an excess or are you using an accident management company eg you're not paying an excess

What a great combination ERS and Albany.

If Albany are paying you the money out (Don't hold your breath) it's their problem if the other Insurer don't agree the value.

If Albany are recommending an amount and requesting the other Insurer pay it, then they may query it.

If you're in a credit hire car, expect Albany to take even longer

Possibly Allianz sat on it for three weeks, alternative (and quite likely knowing Albany) is they did not send it off and are telling you it's Allianz's fault.

Try googling Albany or do a search of MSE, they have a habit of losing post or sending things late

One very very unpleasant email letter drafted, as soon as the car disposable company get the ok letter as I sent it RM ND special I'll send it and its going joint to A-Plan and Albany.

I'll be sending it recorded to both as well.

Basic, I'm going to accuse Albany of fraudulently extending the process to pad their own pockets

You should be able to go direct to Allianz for the write off, however the offer you have from Albany looks very generous.

If you give us the exact details of the car we can have a look at the guides and give an educated guess on how much Allianz may offer.

Have you found that Albany have been making mistakes then?

P.S It was probably a Plan that received the commission for passing you to Albany
