Harry Potter DVD and a 2 year old

Totally unsuitable film for a two year old. Peppa Pig, Thomas, etc in small doses for a child of that age.0
-
No hun - even the first one is NOT suitable for a two year old! Perhaps your friend is under the illusion they are 'disney - like' films. They are not! They can be very dark and have images that are disturbing - that is why they are NOT 'U' rated!
I would suggest getting a dressing up set or some other Harry Potter related stuff - but the DVDs? nope!0 -
My 6 year old son has seen the first one and that's it. The films get progressively darker with each year and I won't let him see anymore.
Could you not look at maybe a Harry Potter dress up costume? I wouldn't let a 2 year old watch HP :eek:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife
Louise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -

Sounds to me as if the parents fancy HP for their own collection
Exactly what I thought

I think a 2 year old would be bored/confused by HP after the first 5 minutes. Cant believe someone would suggest it.0
-
My 2.5 year old wouldn't watch it even if I would let her (which I have no intention of doing until she's well into junior school!). She is quite bright but this would be way above her head and be of no interest to her whatsoever. She has only recently started to sit through whole episodes of Peppa Pig without getting bored / distracted!
If you're uncomfortable buying it, then don't. If you don't want to buy something unappreciated, then why not get a gift voucher for somewhere where they could buy it if that's really what they want, but hopefully they'll spend it on something more suitable for the little boy!0 -
Wouldn't buy it.
Would suggest you tell friend the reason why as well. And point them to this thread.0 -
A wind up for sure.
The OP's friend sits her toddler in front of the flashy flashy screen...
...The toddler chooses what flashy things popup on that screen.
ETA: We're to believe a toddler chooses Harry Potter?I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
