Good afternoon.
Crazy day yesterday, running around like a headless chicken, (hands over ears Mogs & Co) and it was gone 11.00pm before I got to my computer. No point posting then. So....
LW: It's all ready for you here. Sun been polished up - even got his hat on - sea dyed deeper blue, leaves and grass all shades of green, hanging baskets and front gardens ablaze with colour (except at Holy Villa but you don't know where that is so I am safe:D) and all tourist coaches lined up ready to block every tiny lane. Don't know about Real Ale pubs, not my scene, but pubs with good food - now that's a different matter!:):):)
meanmarie: When I hear of children with appendicitis my blood runs cold. My son, aged 6 was misdiagnosed and left in horrendous pain for 2 days while I argued and pleaded with the duty GP (not our own). It was peritonitis and he 'died' 3 times in the operating theatre. He now has a scar right across his middle which is a constant reminder of how lucky we are to still have him. Don't ANYONE let a doctor tell you that anything is not important when you know jolly well it is. Rant over. Hope your DGS gets better quickly.
Adelight: It's hell doing exams in hot weather. I remember revising for my finals lying on a river bank with my feet in the water to keep cool. Good Luck.
NPM: lovely to hear from you again.
Well, the clothes are drying as fast as I can get them out, so the ironing pile is growing at a similar speed. All have to be ironed, put away or packed in the next four days, + the house has to be tidied and sort of cleaned, in case an unfortunate burglar decides to visit, and bits of the garden have to be sorted. All before Tuesday and fitted into all the rest of the madness that goes on here. SCREECH!:eek::eek:
Anyway, today I must finish the Church Magazine.
A cup of tea first though.:oI believe that friends are quiet angels

Well the burgers were delivered so tea is likely to be as planned. Unfortunately I ordered in a bit of a daze and now have more lettuce than I had planned. May try and freeze lettuce soup. And I can see china chilo on the horizon but with frozen peas. At least that will cheer up OH.
Little boy from some doors down came in while I was sorting out a drink and ice lolly for him and little bear and criticised the state of the kitchen. He was right, it is a complete pit. It does come to something when drug dealers have cleaner kitchens than you.
So now I know what I am doing until midnight.

Welcome devon-seems a good first post to me
.
Just having a catch up before bed, first time on lappie today as have been out all afternoon with DNiece and baby.He is now fixed up with a pair of new shoes and some sandals. He was very funny in the shop toddling along trying different pairs, but in the shoes she bought he set off at such a pace. The assistant said they had a lighter sole,so that made the decision for her, deffo seemed more comfy in them.
When I got back, got tea ready and we sat outside.I asked a friend of DS1s too,he lives alone and doesnt cook for himself very often. As he said thanks,he said he couldnt remember the last hm meal he'd had, then said 'oh yeah,it was here about a month ago'.He seems quite envious that our 2 still live at home, whereas they would like their own places-but he keeps telling them how lucky they are to have me and Dh.Nice to be appreciated now and again
More washing, more ironing but have sorted some that I'm not going to iron-it'll only get all crumpled in this heat anyway:p
De1amo,I frequently have times when the housework seems never ending and self perpetuating. The thing that motivates me most is visitors comingAnd take note of what your doctor says
WS-yes I did dye the stuff in the sink-it was a bit rash, and I now have a couple of navy spotted dishcloths!
Night all xx
