Hi Linda
İ am obviously a man and curious to know how all you ladies keep motivated to do housework??- i have lived for periods in my life as a batchelor and it seems a blur how my housework got done!! i think my mother used to shoulder the burden by 'mercy visits' and kicking me up the posterior to get things done!--i remember a period when i had the wrinkliest shirt in the office!!
İ loathed housework because it was never ending! you do well!

Morning all, adelight good luck. Feeling very tired and grumpy this morning.oh is working nights and he is a lorry driver. I always phone him when i go to bed ( he checks his phone when he stops for a break or when he stops for a delivery & phones me back) 12:30 am he decides to phone me to say all was well.????
Anyway i planned to take the day off but no such luck, i will be off tomorrow instead. I think it will be beans on toast tonight for tea, its overcast outside again this morning & i really cant think of anything else to do. Not sure if it will brighten up but i will stick the clothes on the line anyway. Hugs to all.Grocery Challenge 24th Feb-28 Dec 2012 £2000/£1404

Morning All
Adelight Good luck with the exams.
((hugs)) everyone else who needs them.
Think I may have eaten something to upset my tum, as I have been wearing a path to the loo. Started yesterday morning, slept for 2-3 hrs yesterday afternoon unknown for me. Still a bit fragile this morning.
Ironing mountain still growing.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -

If you are feeling fragile and wiped out it might be one of the
viruses going round so take care and don't overdo things.
Positive vibes for anyone with exams today or having a horrible time.
We finally got use out of the garden table and chairs I bought two months ago and ate out last night. Homemade lamb koftas, veggie rice, green salad, potato salad and (bought) coleslaw
Everyone wolfed it down and has asked for lasagne and salad tonight so will need to go to weekly market for veg etc later.
Dishwasher is on and considering replacing the white double sink we got with the house for a good stainless steel one instead as this shows every mark, not helped by DH and dds pouring dregs of tea all over it. I can slave over it for ages and ten minutes later it looks as bad as ever.
Ordered a load of stuff from AF yesterday - came to about £50 but have saved well over £100 - got lots of tea bags, coffee, cereal, cereal bars, cous cous, curry paste, poppadums, spices, stir fry sauces and bits for lunch boxes - best of all, as dds go through lots of soft drinks, ordered diet cokes, 7 ups, lemonade and bottles of iced tea with lemon. Fingers crossed it is delivered when dds are not around as they get a little scathing of bargains, but what they don't know won't hurt them.;)
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

If you're like my husband his threshold for mess if FAR higher than mine :rotfl: do don't enjoy housework but if has to be done to save my sanity......can't stand a dirty house. Plus the nagging I'd get off my mother is enough to keep me motivated :rotfl::rotfl:

White cloud here so not the scorcher it was yesterday.

Good luck Adelight
, Donny I hope you feel better soon
I'm hiding in the house to avoid any dirty looks from the neighbours
We have 13 chickens and four nesting boxes, which is usually plenty. But they're all squawking like mad at the mo, 10 of them are trying to lay at the same time. I've put another three temporary boxes in which none of them are impressed with. One of the boxes has three chickens squished into it. I've tried putting more permanent boxes in above the others, but not one of them will walk up a slope/ladder - if Penny and Mogs (the oldest two) won't do something, then none of the others will either
And Mogs likes the shed to herself when she lays, lol. Bulletproof0 -
Mawnin' all <yawn>
Exam posi-vibes for Adelight and everyone else taking them today.
Tru glad Daisy is OK - I'd love to keep chooks, but it's really not practical where we live; middle of a housing estate, with a fairly small garden (it only seems big when the grass wants cutting) and there are foxes around - I heard an awful racket outside at about 03:00 one night, looked out, and there was a half-grown cub on my front lawn, presumably calling for his Mum!
Don't be scared; the Flyladies don't bite.:o Much.:D I won't be around next week, so perhaps you can hold my place over there for me.;) Don't forget, you don't have to follow the lists as posted; I don't, because 1. many of the tasks simply don't apply here and 2. I prefer to do the same room on the same day each week. I just stay with the Flyladies for the encouragement to keep the bungalow up to scratch!wannabe_sybil wrote: »Next week I am going to have to sign up to flylady thread, which is scary.
See my comments to Sybil - I too loathe housework, and it's difficult for me, being disabled; I find knowing that a couple of hundred folks up and down the country are doing the stuff at the same time makes it not so daunting. Daft, maybe, but it works for me.;)İ am obviously a man and curious to know how all you ladies keep motivated to do housework??- i have lived for periods in my life as a batchelor and it seems a blur how my housework got done!! i think my mother used to shoulder the burden by 'mercy visits' and kicking me up the posterior to get things done!--i remember a period when i had the wrinkliest shirt in the office!!

I've constructed a Shepherd Spy, which will be dins today and tomorrow; that's used up the carrots that needed using and an odd half-onion, and means I don't have to cook tomorrow. I'm a bit miffed that Mr LW has a late shift the day before we go away, but it can't be helped.:o
I printed off our route maps last night; and we shall finish the bulk of the packing today so that there's just last-minute stuff to do Saturday morning; we're planning to set off at 08:00.:)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
well i went for my tests--not good news! cholestral is 394 when it should be between 0 and 200 and my liver function is absolutely awful.i have to get motivated to stop drinking and get a regular exercise routine---these frightening results are worrying!
Mrs De is very angry with me despite my assurance i will change--i dont think being nasty to me helps!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
